Greeting dearest brother. I sadly missed your live performance as I was under the understanding that when you select the bell, it would notify me of a new video. I didn't get any notice so I totally missed out after keeping watch for your next video. Well, that being said, I have posted your channel along with a link on my music channel. Not that I get bus loads of traffic but because I think your music is deeply comforting, arranged with great love and care, and is of assured musical harmony. I think for those that also study the spiritual (non religious) teachings found in my channel can also benefit greatly by listening to your music. Not being competitive, I do take great honor however in supporting equally talented musicians such as yourself. I enjoy acknowledging others for their original compositions and breathtaking musical landscapes. An endeavor I strive to create as well. Keep in touch my brother. Oh before I forget, I finally got around in trying my hand at making a trailer style soundtrack to present my channel and a playlist. It was actually just for fun but oh my goodness for 30 seconds it sure was a heck of a lot of work. Especially synchronizing all the video segment parts to timed musical intervals I created and the timed sound FX. I sure wouldn't want to do that for a living...lol. I am not sure if I succeeded or not but all-in-all, it was kinda fun. It was a good learning experience and was my first time at such a task. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJKth3aFZ9KtrKc

I couldn't even afford one small section! A mini modular synth is like half a fickin grand! I'd give my left foot to have access to that room full of beautiful equipment! Just for a week!! (& to collaborate with someone that actually wants to experiment & not just "like be in a proper rock band dude") Oh well, back to dreaming about the music I'll never have the money or contacts to make😂
@Neurotypique3 жыл бұрын
@@Donkey_Glossolalia this comment was actually mocking an Instagram comment on state azure's profile! The guy was asking how much it costs but that's not really the point as he's using everything and there is no proof of worth to give to anyone to "deserve to own" such a setup. :) Anyway yes that's awesome to get to this point, start small with second hand gems and have fun with what you can afford, that's the key!
@Donkey_Glossolalia3 жыл бұрын
@@Neurotypique ah ok. 😉 I was just having a whinge as I desperately want to make experimental music but like many people at the minute~ I be fikin' skint! I think buying a cheap keyboard & then plugging it into a series of affordable (almost) effects pedals is what I'll do first & then maybe look into a 4 track tape deck thingy & put found sounds, my guitar, layers of baritone sax, whatever through it all loopty loop! Sick of singing over just an acoustic guitar all the time!! Cheers for replying squire 🙌

As a fellow ambient composer (with my other project, Voxel9) - doing streams like this is a goal of mine but i currently compose purely with software so got quite a bunch of things to purchase before it would get interesting as a live stream :) Love your work!
@brettprice5272 жыл бұрын
you know what though. Jon hopkins is a purely ableton guy. I thought he had all this modular gear etc. but he just creates interesting effects racks in ableton and tries to make happy accidents ala brian eno.... in other words, sure buy some gear if you want but use the tools you have now.
@Trinodia2 жыл бұрын
@@brettprice527 yeah I have realized perhaps doing a stream when I compose something could be interesting. State Azure has done this recently with only (almost only) software and that has been interesting. I guess all I can do is try it out sometime. When doing ambient it is easy to just follow the flow and that could, as you say give interesting changes in the track, unexpected outcomes. Very different from when I do Goatrance where trying out different kicks and bass sounds for hours might not be so fun to watch ;)
