Live streaming using your iPad for Free | Camo Studio for iPad

Thanks for sharing. I Recently added this app to my software collection. Plan to use an Audio Mixer /interface supporting a single XLR to XLR condenser mic. The Audio Interface allows multiple in/out puts connection for dynamic mics, headsets, pods & an instrument. But, a USB-C direct hub for the newer ipads is required. Also known as a doogle. Since , newer iPads are designed without 3.5mmjack. 😮 Bluetooth 5+ is available but, has Weaker signals verses hardwire.

I was thinking of connecting an ATEM mini via usb c out into camo studio on the ipad. If that fails maybe use a capture device and connect the program HDMI out (ATEM) into capture card HDMI input for multi cam work-flow. I will test it out soon. Would like to see a video about that. Also connecting a rodecaster pro 2 audio interface for multi audio track capturing.

@@NeilFarrimond btw I didn’t realize this. Blackmagic has there lastest firmware update to there ATEM switchers which allows to change the routing output of there HDMI and USB output webcam displays. Game changer probably will work flawlessly with what I said before. But yea appreciate your response and hope to see another update on Camo Studio with these workflows and updates.

You mentioned something here. Ecamm for iPad. Would it possible? Maybe a smaller number of ppl for an interview mode, and still be able to use zoom, compatible with touchscreen and keyboard(s)

What are the connections from the JVC camera? You may need a capture card and a dongle to connect this to the iPad.

I wish more companies had updated streaming software to use the UVC input capability for iOs 17 (or, ideally, make a fuller featured streaming software like OBS for mobile). So far this is the only one I have found. I had a pipe-dream of using a new M4 iPad Pro and run a multicam switcher like Atem Mini or AtomX Cast with a few FX3's for smaller streams and have the option of faster wifi or 5g service instead of the older laptop we have been using. The video part would work with Camo Studio's UVC capability, but the extra steps to get to Facebook through RTMP and the lack of audio adjustments in software mean it looks like I will have to get laptop again anyway!

Thanks for the comments. It’s not a feature-packed application for sure, and there some missing elements. I’m hoping future updates may address some of these. I’ll be sure to test any new features as they’re released 👍🏻

Right now for TikTok streaming you would have to use a custom RTMP at TikTok would provide you. This also depends on your account with TikTok on whether you are able to stream live to that service or not.

@ where can I find the custom RTMP ? I have the amount of followers needed to live on TikTok so that won’t be a problem. I watched several tutorials but can’t seem to find the custom thing and stream key to live on TikTok with Camo studio

I am trying to stream Pubg mobile though my ipad Every thing is set up and running while I am on camp app but asmsoon as I switch to Pubg mobile app the stream stops and buffers So I can't stream apps outside CAMO app Please help

@@shashank5508 you should contact Camo Support as it could be a number of things. Software related, your iPad could be struggling with streaming and playing the game not forgetting internet speed if the stream is stuttering. reincubate.com/support/camo/

I’ve been using this app for about a week now while it might be great for multicam set up trying to use it for an app local to the iPad only allows picture and picture for the camera which is unfortunate.

@@NeilFarrimond any. Once you enable the screen record to capture the local app it switches automatically to PiP. I can find any settings to change it.

@SteakandChains I asked Camo, and they said not yet as it's limited to the PIP in one of the corners during app sharing. Maybe an update in the future, as this is a limitation of the Apple iPad screen capture.
