I believe that Sarah Boone was drunk. Similar situation as a drunk driver crashing into another vehicle and killing someone. However, even though she didn't intend to kill Jorge, she intended to cause Jorge to suffer. That "malice" towards Jorge makes his resulting death a more serious crime than vehicular manslaughter and merits a murder conviction.

There are several videos of the cops at the apartment after Sarah has called them, some where she then begs them to not arrest Jorge, which shows she has no problem calling the police if she thinks Jorge is going to hurt her. Looking at the video of Jorge in the suitcase, instead of viciously recording Jorge begging she could have called the police just like she always did and she didn't. Self defense crap is B.S.

The prosecution demanding Sarah Boone give out a narrative testimony makes sense. Let her cook herself with a story and give it out. Whatever she says, she will be contradicting herself, which will be proved when the prosecutors will question her and show portions of the videos. It's too easy to have Owens asking questions and leading her into telling whatever version she wants to push at that moment.
