Hey Nate, Just out of curiosity with your hot keys, are you generally setting limit orders on asks to buy and hitting the bids on your short sells? Or are you placing most of those limits manually?

What was Nate's ultimate risk on IZEA (did he have one where he would have stopped out)? what would he have done if it turned out to be IMRN-esque price action instead of offering him the dip to get out into?

Can we get running commentary on the next live trading video showing why you took some of those trades? I know you have price alerts. Do you immediately enter a position once those price alerts get hit? Are you starting off with the "dabble" size when the price alerts get hit?

Hey Nate & Cam, first of all thank you for sharing great video... I have a question, I saw Nate trading different stocks which vary a lot in their Market Cap, do you treat all this differently? similar? would you advise to start learning just to trade stocks withing just one M. Cap range first? I would like to hear whats your opinion on this! Thanks

Slightly anxiety inducing just watching! Hard to fathom that anyone could be at ease with such large positions being red (before they finally turned). I suppose it's all relative. I was in IZEA also. My first entry was at break of vwap shortly after open. Scalped in and out a few times. Was trying to stay patient for break of 2, but it was getting late in morning and I covered. Literally less than 1 candle later it cracked. oh well. Nice video.

Appreciate the live video. I do however gotta ask man. IZEA you let that thing go almost 50 percent against you. Started in at 1.80s and it went to 2.70.s That just doesn't seem realistic for some who would have a smaller account. I feel like you can sustain the blows cause your account is much bigger.... How do you justify the wiggle room? How would you have stopped out? Obviously the ticker could have just kept going. Also side note - Insane how many trades you can be in at once, great multitasking.

Start with terminology/slang here - could someone explain what do you mean by saying front side/back side?
@jaime9515
@jaime9515 4 жыл бұрын
I think he is referring to a front side of the move as a ramp up with volume. Backside of the move is when it attempts new lows. Once he realizes that it is not breaking down, he asjusts his risk by buying the dips and then selling more if it goes to new highs - eventually unloading it all at the bottom. How does he know it’s going to drop? - he has identified a stock that has a high probability of making a decent retracement - This may be an analysis from the daily or other higher time frames. I’m not exactly sure, I am not in room, but this is what it sounds like to me, from watching the video and his explanation in the comments. I could be wrong tho, so don’t take my word for it. Nevertheless, it’s great to see videos like this of people trading their system!

Its all relative, whether you're trading 500 shares or 50,000 - For example, if you started with 100 shares looking to build into 500, you wouldn't feel like the "stock was going against you" - it would be more a case of "looking for points to add, to get your full size off" . . Its no different with 50,000 shares, albeit a little more scary for spectators watching ! ;-) cam

After a huge gap up (1.2 previous close to 2.4 next day open - 200% ) Nate was reasonably counting for the price to go down. Of course, after such a green kangaroo tail it will bounce back down. But keep in mind he is starting trading before the opening bell at 7 am eastern. He was pretty bad negative during those hours though. I think the regular recommendation will be like if you are down 1-2% of your capital the stop loss order should be waiting for you at that price an so you get out. This might be an example of a stubborn trader which Nate is often characterized himself. I would have covered I guess after the price went a few percent above the short positions to open up shorts at the higher position once again. So that would repeat again until the price was at 2.7 and it is profit on the short after that. The price fell to 1.9 today so you are looking at 70% if my math is right. But this is all much easier said post factum than done.
@americacoast2coast
@americacoast2coast 4 жыл бұрын
@@MichKid14 you have the price, volume, some linear regression which I never heard anyone is using and some unknown straight-line channel - how do you even know where is high and where is low, where you open and where you close? No stochastic, no nothing. No price channel to know what percentage of the channel you have earned already to assess how good is your position. No percentage earned on the position as well just amount, price, unrealized. Not saying about so many tickers analyzed. I followed all you tickers since yesterday and have 31 new ticker!! How do I even know which one to look at, not saying when is the right time, where to buy and where to sell. Obviously not a full-time trader and it is not 1 or 2 year of trading but still very overwhelming! Especially the gain. Also, it is hard to realize that on these 20-50-70 cents you can make huge money - normally don't want to open more than a few grands position on a penny stock as too risky but IZEA was big and unrealized loss was big and still shorting more and more...
