Excellent presentation and I am reminded that good protection isn't cheap and cheap protection isn't good!!! How much is my life worth? I wouldn't know until I came out of the crash on the other side! In 1976, I was riding a motorcycle, minding my own business, being careful, riding as defensively as I thought I could. I was in a state that had no helmet laws. BUT, I was a father with two small children and so I felt that I needed to wear a helmet. It has been over 44 yrs since that incident, but I had an EXPENSIVE helmet and one that far exceeded all the "Snell" requirements back in the day. Looking back, although my helmet could never be worn again, I was thankful I had the good sense to purchase a high quality, high dollar helmet. I lived to tell about it!

They range from an arm and a leg to an arm, leg and kidney. They mentioned "twenty three, eighty". I don't think they meant $23.80. I believe the helmets start at $2,380.
