In my opinion I've seen some of the best bands ever I've seen Queen I still have my ticket stub and of course the best band of all Pink Floyd I've seen their concert twice. I was very fortunate I grew up in the 70s seen all the great bands. ACDC was the first band I seen that had cordless guitars and cordless mics we couldn't believe what we were seeing. ACDC went all the way around the top of the coliseum in Market Square Arena Indianapolis Indiana we were blown away. But that Freddie Mercury sure had a lot of talent. When I was in high school everybody played the song Another One Bites the Dust. The 70s was a great time for music. I still have all my 8tracks

Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara in Stone Town in the British protectorate of Zanzibar (now part of Tanzania) on 5 September 1946.[3][4] His parents, Bomi (1908-2003) and Jer Bulsara (1922-2016),[a][5] were from the Parsi community of western India. The Bulsaras had origins in the city of Bulsar (now Valsad) in Gujarat.[b][3]

@@justdoit4789 Because his voice was rarely in amazing shape when live, especially in this time period. 1984-86 was his worst vocal era (excluding parts of the jazz tour as that was more of a really bad one off) the reason he was in such great shape here was because there was a short break from touring right before live aid. Something I loved about Queen's live performances, is that they never are the same to the official songs. They switch up the tempo, or tone. This is a true live performance. Because it's them live. It's not the original song played on big booming speakers with the singers and instrumentalists dancing to it, they're giving their all, live.

I’m beginning to realize that latter half of the 20th century was the golden age of popular music, the like of which we may never experience again. I had always hoped another rock movement would break out but it’s just not happening. Sure, we can always listen to the old albums and reminisce. But the amount of talent, the number of brilliant songwriters, and the iconic performers (like Freddie) was on another level compared to today.

In the 70's we had closed a upscale restaurant where I was working as a young teen and the owner came rushing down the stairs yelling as we were getting ready to split and said I need 1/2 of you to stay and clock back in! We all pissed and moaned. We opened back up and in no time the place was banging! We reopened for Queen and all their crew! It was amazing. Then the owner came back and said the group appreciates you all and said they would like to thank you. So we all went out and there they were. Brian and Roger were really the ones to greet us and talk. Brian was pretty tall and Roger had just a edge to him and very engaging. John was a bit away but said thank you to us. Freddie was way in the back in the center of one of those big corner 1/2 circle booths surrounded be people and and was very shy almost awkard but we could see him say Thank you all..The hot fing waitress who wore outfits that you can't wear today were in high gear hitting on them..lol The next day in HS I was a rock star..lol To reflect back that I cooked for Queen and personally met them is magical and will always be with me ...

Yes hard to believe he didn't have many more years with us after this performance hey.. he looks so well in this performance.. so sad.. too many pass away before their time.. they get run roughshod by the industry that steals from them.. uses their talent.. makes a sh*t load of profit from the artists talents then treats them so poorly.. it's a crime and the day is coming when they will all answer for the way they treated their fellow man/woman/child.. RIP Freddie Mercury..

I read that Freddie was at home in Garden Lodge watching Live Aid and then casually in the afternoon said oh its time now that i was heading there. He was So calm and matter of fact about it like it was any other day. Little did he know years later his performance would be voted the greatest ever in the history of Rock Music. I knew it had to be. RIP
