DAY 2: The men and women who work and serve on MacDill Air Force Base invite you to Tampa Bay AirFest 2024! For the first time ever, the 2024 AirFest will be a Friday/Saturday show, so that you can enjoy AirFest, and keep your Easter Sunday.

It is our honor and privilege to host this free event which will feature an amazing variety of military and civilian flight performances. This two-day event is your chance to get up close and personal with military/civilian aircraft and pilots!
MacDill Air Force Base is privileged to have called the Tampa Bay region home for over 80 years and we are proud of the superb relationship we share with the surrounding communities of Tampa Bay. While the great flying weather in Tampa Bay plays a crucial role in the training and operations we conduct, it is the outstanding support and hospitality that enable us to execute our global air refueling mission. AirFest is one small way to say "Thank You" for your unwavering support of the base and our personnel. Tampa Bay AirFest is Back!
ABOUT MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE:
The 6th Air Refueling Wing is organized into five groups: Operations, Maintenance, Mission Support, Medical, and the Wing Staff. Team MacDill includes 28 associate units from all branches of service to include U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, and the 927th Air Refueling Wing.
The presence of these two unified commands and other Mission Teammates creates a unique multi-service community at MacDill, with all branches of service represented. So, although MacDill is an Air Force Base, it is also home to many soldiers, sailors, Marines and coast guardsman.

The Thunderbirds perform for people all around the world to display the pride, precision and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents. Through air shows and flyovers, they aim to excite and inspire. In addition to showcasing the elite skills all pilots must possess, the Thunderbirds demonstrate the incredible capabilities of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The officers and enlisted Airmen who make up the Thunderbirds embody professionalism and skill. Eight officers serve as our highly experienced pilots, and four serve in critical roles from medical support to public affairs. The more than 120 enlisted members represent nearly 30 different career fields and serve as the backbone of our team, ensuring all jets and operations are in top shape at all times.
