I lived in Mexico for 5 years off and on and unless your monthly income is $2200 or more per month you will mot be able to obtain residency in Mexico. On the other hand, Ecuador, Argentina and Colombia requires less than $1000 per month for residency and the health care systems are better than Mexico.
