"Hot Dreams" is quite a beautiful song. Timber Timbre = Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Elvis, The Doors and Portishead. Brilliant!!!! Great blend of genres from folk/rock, to trip-hop, to jazz, to R&B. One of my favorite bands of the last 10 years.
@tubytootoo4 жыл бұрын
I first saw him at the Crocodile in Seattle opening for Low Anthem around 2009. They were mostly unknown and so I stood at the front right by the stage. Taylor sat at the drum kick, stared at the floor, and played a set that spoke to my soul. Years later (2019) he came back to Seattle and I had obsessively listened to each album release since then. This next set he was suddenly a showman. He stared out at the crowd and opened his arms and looked us in the eyes. The music was no longer folksy, but it, as usual dripped with atmosphere. They're my favorite band now and there's simply no equal. One other thing: to know and listen to this band is to see them perform live, as their music takes on a new dimension when they play live. They fuse their songs together, change the pace, create absurdly long bridges between songs and droning intros that keeps listeners suspended and hovering in anticipation. Watch their live shows on youtube, see them perform live, and listen to their albums, these guys are true artists.

Everytime the guitar solo from hot dreams start, I just start shedding tears. I’m usually not an overly emotional guy, the most emotional I get is when I’m really happy or angry at someone. Except for that song. Timber timbre are true masters of their craft and every note from that entire song feels personal. Every hit on those drums seems intentional and every stroke of those guitar strings comes straight from the heart. Im not religious but the beauty of music and how a specific array of sounds can move people has to be the work of some higher being.

This was the best concert I've had the pleasure of going to. When Taylor came out on the stage by himself for the encore and started to play Demon Host, I weeped like a child. This concert was one of the most artistically gratifying experiences of my life and it will stay with me forever.

I still complaining on "hot dreams" the sax solo... why don't you play it at the shows? hot dreams has become an anthem for the young generation! the sax solo is like the cherry on top of the cake. it gives that flavor to the song. Not saying that Simon doesn't do it right, OK. I'd love to see you back in California !!

My inglish (i'm brazilian) is an shit but, i can't belive in this kind of material without any comments, probably anyone will gonna read this, probably that is the last undiscovered big band of our time, the letters, melodies, i could put all the grandiosity of this in words but i think Taylor Kirk just done this better.
@heitorvasconcelos17069 жыл бұрын
