Be grateful if you are fan of Journey. All the people posting negative comments are living in the past. If you think Journey is going to sound like it's 1982 you're out of your mind. Even if it was the Escape line up performing, people age, people change and it's not going to be the same almost 40 years later! Listen to Steve Perry's solo album. While it is quite good, his voice could never handle any of these songs live. Be thankful Arnel is performing with them and you're still able to see Journey live. If not, go see Dean and Greg with Journey Through Time (Awesome too!). Either way, stop with the negativity and be grateful these guys are still making music and performing for you.

Dec.23/1986 My Buddy and myself hoped into my old 1973 Volvo and split Vancouver,B.C headed south on I -5 on our way to San Diego to see Journey and Glass Tiger.Took our chances with no tickets and bought two tickets at the gate. The man at the box said I've got a special treat for you guys and let us have a private box with drink service right up front. To this day that was the best concert I've ever been to.

I think they sounded great. I just saw them this past September in New Orleans and they blew me away, and I ain't even the biggest Journey fan. But they were simply incredible. For a bunch of guys in their mid-60s, and then I also found out during the show that Arnel is actually 51, they brought it. I think his voice is amazing and the guy's been fronting them for close to 15 years now, so he's doing something right, cuz they keep packing stadiums. I can only hope I have that sort of energy and charisma at 51. Loved it.

Man the bridge part that uses some of the intro part too,which occurs from 3:42-4:08,is so massive & bad ass that it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I loved the interaction of smiles & good vibes between Steve Smith and Ross Valory when Smith does his triplet fill on the second to last measure of that bridge as they're falling back into the last chorus. I love the mean/quirky looks that Ross makes at times too plus the happy/excited looks Pineda & Neal Schon throw back at each other,when both can tell/feel perfection is occurring on stage. Its great to see them all still having fun after several decades of doing it.Well maybe except for Jonathan (keyboards) who sits there like a stone with a not so happy to be there look.He was always the most upbeat/happy go lucky guy in the band back in the day.

These guys are great.Im 71 years old but only discovered them when i was65. Somehow they were not big in South Africa where i live.Why i cant tell you but we lost out big time.Their only song i ever heard on the radio is Wheel in the Sky.Recently i heard Dont stop Believin on radio.

Hate to break it to the delusional fans, but he’s not going to replace Steve and I doubt he’s trying to replace Steve. he’s his own artist in his own right and this marks a new era of Journey. If you can’t separate them and appreciate each for what it was and is, idk what to tell you. Go listen to another band

Saw Journey at the Forum with Def Leppard. Def Lep was great and so was Arnel. The Forum was claustrophobic. It was hot in there. My friend and I hit bar to get air. Best view ever!
