Annette is a mother of two sons, both diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) at ages 14 and 18. Initially unaware of the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure, Annette and her husband faced challenges understanding their sons' sensory, learning, and behavioral challenges. Annette highlights the resilience and perseverance of her sons, emphasizing these as their greatest strengths despite the challenges of FASDs.
