It is interesting how he talks about his mom making reference to "war being a cancer" as the interview begins. As he proceeds, the director plays images of war victims in Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Nigeria. However, as he starts singing, all those images are replaced by images from Ukraine and they remain so until the ending of his song. Ukrainian refugees, rightly so, are given admission to enter the United States through the Mexican border. At the same time thousands of refugees who have piled up at the border from Central America fleeing violence are separated from their children and denied entry in to the United State. The U.S. has lost moral authority on designation of refugee status to populations fleeing from conflict zones. Ukraine needs help as much as the rest of the world has needed help since the last century.

Are you proposing we shouldn't help Ukranian refugees in this crisis because we can't help all refugees ever? Where then would progress initiate? The precise reason he draws attention to Nigeria, Yemen, etc., is to do just that, and he's on CNN with a platform because of the crisis in Ukraine. The idea that this would be a net negative in your view is troubling. You proposing the elimination of a positive action and arguing Dave needs to check his racial bias because the montage is lacking inclusivity? This is short-sighted and misses the point. Assuming a perfect worldwide solution is not imminent, where do you propose one start?
