If he had hit her with his injured finger, he would have had to get his cast fixed, which the doctor said he could not do. That would mean he had to have grabbed her by the hair with a hand that could not grab. Any way you look at her testimony it could not happen. Additionally, if he had been able to punch with his pinned finger, the bruise on Ambers face would have been on the other side of her face.
