Congress can't arrest anyone, they believe him. Date and time is irrelevant when FBI isn't involved here. This CEO pays for 99% of congressmen and women pay checks. When a company pays millions over your salary as a congressmen you can kill freely whom ever and who ever for profit. As taught in 90% of our societies best universities. Currently your kids are being taught money over human life. Look at the high schools fury killing sprees going on! Every high school has a shooting within it or a massacre from what teachers taught then to perform. Money over anything! Be in time to class or it's the end of their career from age 5. Stress both University level and high school massacre expression in court when caught is indifferent than this CEO face today. Happy he is free, to kill again.

If this continues further, I hope senators and others on the hill, if necessary, will drop all political ideology and see this in black and white. With all due respect to Senator Cruz, the texts are not as damning as he makes them out to be. The problem is not that test pilots discovered problems with the MCAS that would lead to the loss of two passenger carrying aircraft, but that giving the 737Max pilot the experience through the seat of his pants that he would receive while flying a 737, the MCAS is frequently adjusting the trim. As these particular pilots are testing the flight simulator, they are not fully informed about what MCAS is supposed to do, so they do not connect the trim adjustments to their operation of the flight controls. The talk of sending queries to 'aero' tells us that the sim is not behaving as expected, so the pilots need to know if it is something that happens in the aircraft, not just the sim. The simulator pilots have no reason to expect that their complaint of the frequent trim adjustments has any relation with safety. That being said, there is a safety issue underlying the texts-- with MCAS providing so many commands to the horizontal stabilizer trim, it is not immediately obvious when the MCAS trims the horizontal stabilizer for the wrong reason. The following description of events is my speculation. Not only am I not a 737 pilot, I am not any sort of pilot and everything I know about flying comes from watching air disaster documentaries. I hope that I understand what is the sequence of events, but I could be so far from truth that, not only am I not right, I am not even wrong. Normal transition from the 'take off' phase to 'climb to cruising altitude' phase of a 737Max flight: Flaps are fully retracted, but the autopilot has yet to be engaged, so the MCAS becomes active. There is no reason for the MCAS to adjust the horizontal trim, so there is no spin of the wheels. The power is reduced from 'take off' to 'climb'. Because the pilot is expecting the nose to get heavier when the power goes down, MCAS adjusts the trim to give the 737Max's nose the extra weight that the pilot is expecting. The pilot pulls up the nose to the desired climb rate, dials the stabilizer trim to keep the nose at that angle, and selects the autopilot. The events of the stricken aircraft: There is a pre-existing error condition that the MCAS is champing at the bit to respond to, but the configuration of the controls is blocking the MCAS. The flaps are fully retracted, but the autopilot has yet to be engaged, so the MCAS is given the authority to adjust the horizontal stabilizer trim, which it immediately proceeds to do. The pilots are not fully informed of when MCAS intervenes, so no alarm bells are ringing in the pilot's head (although other alarms are ringing in the cockpit). If the pilot reduces engine power, the next MCAS trim adjustment will be confused for a normal trim adjustment. The third MCAS trim adjustment to avoid a stall that is not actually happening finally gets the attention of the pilots, if the second intervention was missed by them. If the pilots were fully aware of the MCAS, the fact that the trim adjustment came before the pilot adjusted the throttle should have been a warning sign. The crashes of those two airliners may have been caused by the laws of unintended consequences. Before we can assign culpability for these crashes to Boeing, we need to know the answer to the following question: We know that the actions of the pilots, as applied to the 737Max aircraft that they were flying, did not prevent either crash. However, if the actions of the pilots were applied to a 737 that found itself in the exact same situation (ignoring why a 737 could have that much uncommanded nose down trim adjustment), would the 737 crash?

And one of the first things you learn in the flight school is: if you lose control of the plane and you set it up in a way you have the control, you don't change it anymore. Look at our prison populations. How many billionaires or even millionaires are there? Or those directly affiliated with the rich. Power and money buys get out of jail cards. Boeing especially is Teflon.

@@redtailarts101 - "dodging the questions". They get away with that due to money/power. You seem to suffer from poor extrapolation skills.

@@scottsullivan234 I wasn't asking how he got away with it though I was observing that Muilenburg doesn't answer questions that are asked to him because he doesn't have the answers. Like make your point I agree with it but it's not got relevance to what I said

The man behind the CEO was nodding subtly as if he's like 'Good going, that's what you're supposed to say'. He just barfed out what was fed to him.

Wow - Boeing shady. Not a fan of Ted Cruz but he was doing a good job here. Shame he couldn't have more time to ask questions.
