Computers ( = AI) in lab instruments have greatly accelerated speed of results ( from days to under an hour) can be done at the hospital instead of sending out to a lab many miles away, the number of diagnostic tests, available almost immediately, have multiplied 100 fold. There is a great deal of AI hype these days. It's an odd name 'AI Infrastructure' with some claim of advanced medical research. We have many intelligent people doing research now. I've heard from people in the scientific community in areas like physics that AI hasn't proved to produce better results. I didn't hear anything that clearly explained this initiative. The point is a machine can quickly read the blood samples, so the cost will be for the nurse to take the blood and the Dr to review the AI findings as well as review the vaccine before its administered. This should largely cut costs as an enormous portion of the labor is being handled by the ai. It's not like it's gonna change overnight, but in a few years time we should see the price of primary health care decrease significantly, with only emergency care remaining expensive.
