Liver Cancer | Thelma's Story

Eight months after undergoing a successful surgery for colon cancer, Delaware resident Thelma Klase, was diagnosed with a large cancerous tumor in her liver, thought to be metastatic colon cancer. After an initial attempt at surgery failed and months of chemotherapy targeting her presumed colon cancer, Thelma and her family sought a second opinion from Matthew Weiss, a liver surgeon and surgical director of the Johns Hopkins Liver and Pancreatic Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinics. Dr. Weiss reassured his new patient that another approach offered good odds for success. He used a portal vein embolization procedure to grow the portion of her liver that was to remain. Then he removed the tumor, which turned out not to be metastatic colon cancer, but a completely different liver cancer. The surgery was successful, allowing Thelma a new lease on life.

My grandfather passed away yesterday because of liver cancer , it was so hard to watch him lose weight , become powerless , skin and his eye become all yellow . Please people if you read this take care of your body , it is important to live a healthy life . I am a man yet i believe i will never get over this loss .

I'm glad you're feeling better unfortunately some of us can afford that keep me at least it was other Alternatives out there that we can know about I am in the same exact clothes and I've been on it for five years and I don't think I'm going to make you may try to sleep I've been taking care of my daughter as much as I can but it's getting Bleaker and Bleaker

This reminds me of my Popa he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and his lung was basically fully black. Once we got the horrible news my Popa gave up and let himself die. The doctor said that he only had a couple of months to live. 3 or 5 months passed by and my Mum got a phone call at about

My grandpa died a couple years ago before I was born. He was in the Marines, Vietnam war. After my mom was Married a few years later, he discovered he had liver cancer. He went to get treatment but wanted to live out his life. In the middle of the treatment/ surgery, the next day he passed away. This is a heartbreak in our family, because of all the family members that have cancer. ♥️
