I think Nunez doesn't suit the system and isn't consistent enough so the question is can you make a player + cash deal for Osimhen, Gyokeres, Vlahovic, Isak or sesko. Or can you sell him and get Marmoush or Jonathan David. If the answer is yes to any of those, I'd make it happen.

@ every other top 15 in the prem strikers will be better. Mateta, Wood, Jackson, Haaland, Isak, Watkins, Cunha, Joao Pedro, Solanke, Mbeumo and Duran are all better.

I think Nunez is a good player, but just doesn't fit with how we want to play. We are focussed now on maintaining control of the ball and passing our way into getting clear chances (quality of chances seems to be the focus over quantity). We can't afford to have a striker that may get a few great chances in a game and missing them, I feel this leads to the team panicking and losing composure. Agree that Jota and Diaz are better options.

I didn't understand why Curtis was always wider than Diaz. I've read so many analyses that say Slot likes to isolate the opposition full-back so his wingers can take them on 1-on-1, but I didn't see that happening on the left last night, and both Diaz and Jones looked ineffective as a result. It was so weird. We're also consistently doing Nunez dirty by not playing to his strengths. Match after match, time after time, he's right behind the last defender and can beat his marker for pace, but our players just don't release the ball early enough and it always ends up with him either offside or no longer a viable passing option. City reconfigured the way they play to play to Haaland's strengths, but we don't do the same for our most expensive forward. It just doesn't make sense. Ian Graham made prominent mention in his book that Nunez is elite but Klopp needed to change the way his team plays the game to play to his strengths. I find that still true for the Slot era. Nobody in the team outside of maybe Salah is playing to his strengths and it's not just frustrating to see, but frustrating that so many fans don't see it.

Our starting 11 when everyone is fit is worldclass, but as soon as we get injuries we have a problem. Nunez, Gomez, Quansah are just not good enough. We will even have a bigger problem when Salah, Gravenberg or VVD get injured.

I reluctantly think the Nunez experiment has run its course. He just runs offside way too often and also when in great positions to shoot lays it off. I don't get it. I think a switch of him on the left wing and Diaz in the middle might work better.

I think we need to work out how to play better away. We've been very good at home. Every away game has been a struggle. Most against teams who aren't very good. Although we've won most of them. It's clearly a good sign and i do think we will get better.

But Nunez plays his heart out - and we have had plenty of players over the years (Voronin, anyone?) who didn't. He's clearly a Liverpool player, and a passionate, emotional, one at that. We won last night. There were plenty of other players on that pitch who didn't score a goal.

I was open minded to one of our three you have to be open minded looking at our front line and and their performances MO has to be kept . For me I think Darwin’s time is now limited at Liverpool we need someone in that position that can put up numbers and at this point I can’t see Darwin being that player unfortunately.

we need a RCB in january to cover for Konate, but in the summer we need to rebuild the attack. Darwin, Diaz, Jota are not good enough. Jota would be good rotation if he could stay fit but he can't. need to sell all 3 and buy 2 world class players. Wirtz, Kvara, Palmer, whoever.
