Greetings from The Netherlands. I did'nt know who was the ref at the game that disabled our best Dutch defender Van Dijk for a year. And Van Dijk had to recover after that awful 'incident' for almost another 2 years to get to the level he was before (now). I'll spread this information to my fellow countrymen. I can tell you now, the Dutch will be furious too. I hope we will never hear of Coote ever!! What a bastard he is! 😡 Liverpool must win the title. Just to get justice from this evil referee and our Dutch national team!!

He wasn't the ref He was VAR The problem was all the refs got consumed over the offside Offside Not an issue but as a ref Pickford should have red carded regardless Ironically I met Webb and his lovely wife last year in Vancouver A night with Webb I specifically asked him afterwards about the tackle I swear he blushed and then reeled out the party line

COOTE SUSPENSION A BLOW FOR CITY. Man City's season just got even worse. They are struggling to win games, with the 115 charges hovering over their heads and lost players to injuries and now loosing a legendary referee like David Coote to suspension? This is a very bad moment for City. They could have coped with missing players via injuries but not such as important referee. My sentiments exactly. The premiere league rose to this level due to, first, an influx of foreign players and secondly, the acquisition of top-grade foreign coaches. Top-grade foreign refs could first be used for VAR (considering it can even be carried out remotely) and gradually brought in to officiate games

Can someone make it clear the Coote video is a 2020/21 season recording (hence the reference to Covid and 4th October 2020 game)? What went viral was a "current referee commenting on a current manager". If we step back from that picture this means the PGMOL have employed a biased and objectively compromised official for FOUR SEASONS as either the main ref or VAR. Webb needs to be sacked and PGMOL needs to be binned for a new wave refereeing infrastructure.

These things are always, always connected to money. This referee was clearly corrupted for a long time but didn't fulfill his duty last Saturday and consequently somebody in control of this video lost a lot of money, hence the video surfaces. At the end of the day this comes down to the gambling culture in England as this is one of the places where the above and underground meet.
