If Salah stays for four more seasons, he could end up with the most goals and third-most assists in Premier League history. He's not just a goalscorer, but also an incredible playmaker-literally a GOAT contender. He could surpass Henry, let alone Gerrard. It’s unlucky that Liverpool missed out on three more titles, losing to City by just a point. Now, Haaland is getting in the way of his Golden Boot record too. But if Salah can beat Alan Shearer's goal record as a winger and win a couple more major trophies, he could still be the GOAT. A 3+1 contract to keep him until he’s 36 would keep him hungry for trophies and the ultimate record.
@theubiquitouspotatoКүн бұрын
If he stays for another 4 years he will definitely get top three just can't see him catching shearer though he had 14 years in the prem and there where 4 more games a season back then. He is without a doubt a premier league legend though. Even if he goes this year.

Good Podcasts guys, with respect to VAR does anyone remember any incident where an on pitch referee is asked to go the the monitor to recheck a decision and he maintains his on pitch decision? Why does it necessarily need to be overturned if in some cases the margins are so slim? It seems to me that any VAR asking the ref to check means automatic reversal.
@HJKR9992 күн бұрын
We had a rare lucky one the other week with Stones last minute winner against Wolves. Went to VAR for a potential offside on Bernardo who didn’t touch the ball but may have been distracting the keeper. It was a load of nothing in the end, nothing compared to what Ben White does every corner with no issues so glad the on pitch decision was kept up.

Plus O'Riley, Baleba and Joao Pedro were only fit for the bench, the former two having not played for months, plus Milner, March and Webster who would've been options. We were missing players just as important to us as the ones City were missing are to them. Poor planning on their part selling off the squad players like Palmer & Alvarez, even the likes of Harwood-Bellis as well, and hoping to get lucky with injuries. Something really wrong with how they're playing though. Maybe Pep's told them he is off in the summer...

Regarding Salah, interesting that he's called a 'great' but also that he's 'underrated'😅

Liverpool running off over the horizon...When they win the league I hope Slot credits Klopp....It is going to be Klopps title ( Its his team really ) Slot is a good boss - this much is evident.

He should thank Klopp for the team he left behind, but no way is that Klopp’s title. This Slot team is playing differently and it is awesome!

That's unfair on Slot. If they had been doing badly, everyone would be saying he's no Klopp. He's done brilliantly. Liverpool will beat City and after that it's a coast to the title

These lads have some life 😂😂 fairplay to them

The football hierarchy at Liverpool have been quite brilliant in selecting Slot, who said from day one he was inheriting a great squad, but the team as a whole has also matured and have reached another level this season compared to last.

I can't believe you still haven't talked about *that* foul on Salah when he was in on goal, just before Nunez scored. Particularly relevant when the ref, David Coote, was suspended today for a video revealing his anti-Liverpool bias.

Better rename the Brighton v Man City segment 'Man City Chat'. They could have been playing Accrington Stanley, for all we know.

same with Chelsea-they always dodge them. They are actually above Arsenal, but Shearer was explaining how Arsenal are still in the title race. Chelsea have the same number of points but never even considered as title challengers by these boys!

Correction: Guardiola lost 4 times in a row at BM

One was a draw after 90 minutes so doesn't technically count as a loss

Micah, last time Arsenal needed a fox in the box striker, the solution was deemed to be franny jeffers.
