It would be great to hear from some fans who don't get to go that often speak about this. And also I'm curious about what this is like for fans who use the accessible seating!

I sent my letter off for a season ticket (along with a huge bollocking) from my missus in 1989. My eldest lad was 4 at the time. He was over 32 when I finally got the letter for a ST. Only thanks to the new stand ....... Now happily parked in the SKD

I never quite understood why the club didn’t fill out the corner of the stadium between Anfield road and the main stand you could of got another 3/4 thousand seats that would of help the ticket issue too. Fundamentally Anfield capacity is just too small we are getting their but it will take time.

Guaranteed FA Cup Final League Cup Final and European Cup Final tickets as well,It’s certainly changed nowadays,We struggled to get 32,000 in the early 80’s I think people got bored of going the game because we were so dominant

I entered the ticket lottery again in November for three matches and once again I got no ticket. Bah Humbug! And it really sucks when LFC play just down the road from me at Wembley and I can't get a ticket. Never had this problem back in the early-to-middle 2000's.

I am shocked that it took you almost 3/4 of the way thru before you mentioned touts ( scalpers ) and you didn't seem to see it as much of an issue. If you go online there are literally hundreds if not thousands of tickets on sale for 10 times their face value or more. Surely the club can track back the original purchaser as these seat numbers are shown on these web sites and can take action by preventing the person from buying tickets in the future and nullifying the tickets. Thomas Cook were ( I believe ) legitimate sellers of LFC game tickets which they sold as part of a package with a hotel booking and both the game ticket and the hotel was priced at face value. Three years ago I was in the process of buying tickets from them when they went into bankruptcy and since then i have not found another way to acquire tickets at face value. I am a Canadian living in Toronto and who has been a Liverpool fan for 40 years and would kill to go to a game at Anfield. After Thomas Cook went bust I had a hard time finding tickets by other means and then COVID hit so travel was out but now that we can travel again I would like to visit Liverpool and take in a game but it seems the closest I will get is a stadium tour. LFC need to decide if scalping tickets is legal or not in the UK, From daslaw.com.uk "Are ticket touts still allowed to operate in the UK? The general resale of football tickets is illegal under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 unless the resale is authorised by the organiser of the match". Surely based on this LFC can go after these web based ticket resellers and close them down so that legit fans can have better access to LFC tickets.

After season tickets at Newcastle the remaining tickets go to ballot to those amongst the reported 100k+ non season ticket holding members. NUFC could pull 80k minimum in reality higher. Arsenal could probably do similar. Chelsea, Everton and a good number of other clubs have demands that way outstrip supply. All these 55-60k stadiums are becoming inadequate already.

@chriswhitehead11732 жыл бұрын
Disagree. When that was launched it was capped at 10,000 members with 5 000 tickets per a game . As we weren't as successful then it was easy to get on and the supposed 1 in 2 chance of getting a ticket never happened. All the years of it never failed to get a ticket. Which then got me on the 13+ easily when pts was scrapped and membership introduced. Now we're successful everyone wants to be there and when we drop off again you'll see the demand plummet. Back then I couldn't make a game , offered it to a fella and was told why would I watch that shit ? Same fella now mad looking for end of season tickets.

A couple of things Firstly you prefaced the start of this conversation by saying that you are white heterosexual males, so are you implying that the system is some way biased against minorities? Or are you saying minorities should be favoured ahead of white heterosexual males? Secondly I am certain that if you had 100,000 seats then they would filled. I am an advocate for a certain amount of debentures that give people the option to buy tickets for games and if not then they go on general sales. I also think generally when I watch your channel there is a snobbery about fans who can go to matches all the time compared to fans who occasionally come to games. For me I left to further my career and so now have to fly in from Abu Dhabi to watch a game, does that make me less of a fan?

Nobody is saying that anyone one group should be prioritsed. Neil recognised that they as contributers are of the same demographic so their experience doesn't echo that of other sectors of the support. As they went on to discuss, who holds the tickets is gernally white men who gererally pass the tickets on to other white men. That's just a fact that means the support in the ground won't often reflect the diversity of wider support. It's a valid and factual point made. Don't know why that's cause foe upset.
@MrJudgementday992 жыл бұрын
@@KarinaGA so my position is that ticketing should be neutral and shouldn’t favour one race or another. The UK is 87% white and Liverpool as stated is an even higher percentage. So it should be a non subject unless you want to be racist against white people. As for women the vast supporter are men, now I would love my wife to want to come but that isn’t happening in my life. @@Vtwin_Superbikes I do support my local team, Liverpool FC. I am one of the people on the season ticket waiting list and have been for years. I don't begrudge people who buy a ticket and go to the game. What annoys me is that they can give that ticket to whoever they like. I've had a season ticket loaned to me in the past - a friend had a change in circumstance and decided to sell me his ticket for a season - but that shouldn't be allowed. Is it fair to give a ticket to someone you know or use your privileged position to get tickets for your friends? It's not the fans' fault they are just trying to get to the game. It's Liverpool FC's job to manage tickets. They allow the fans to be kingmakers.
