Context of the game you would take a draw but i still look at that xhaka moment, that cost us all 3 points also arteta subs were too late. BIG UP RAMADALE AS WELL ALWAYS TURNS UP IN BIG OCCASIONS.

Martinellis problem is head down n run first if he had got his head up the pass was on when saka was in our own half. He saw saka too late, by then the pass was more difficult to play

At the start of the season we doubted whether we had enough quality and depth despite Jesus and Zinchenko. Hence we (most) didn’t predict a title win. Trossard improved us, but nothing has materially changed. We are on course for top 2 which is massive and with 8 games to go the pre-Season reservations persist. If we are 5 points ahead with two games to go and lose it, then we would have bottled it. 8 games is a lot of football and anything can happen. Otherwise, it has been a fantastic season and if we don’t win it will be because we lack enough quality and depth.

The fact we was 2-0 and drew from the position we was in was poor. I’ve said this before but zini is not a LB. He can’t defend to save his life. Numerous times this season he gets cooked and somehow plays majority of the game and today Salah clearly had his number. Honestly feel bad for Tierney should’ve played longer in that second half. So much to criticise but ultimately Arterta managed the game poorly with his subs and we looked so sluggish second half

My thoughts rn: 1. Definitely disappointed cuz it feels like 2 pts dropped than a point gained. But Liverpool just never lose at Anfield and even City under Pep have struggled to beat Liverpool there. So I’m trying to take the positivity of not losing at Anfield considering how difficult it is, and hoping it benefits us not hinders us. 2. I feel now we have to win every single remaining game apart from City, whom we have to at least draw. And Newcastle away is looking difficult rn as well. I don’t think I can rule out City being favorites (like I have been all season) until it becomes mathematically impossible.

The game changed on around 40 minutes with the coming together of Xhaka and Trent Alexander. It fired up the Liverpool players and their crowd and they soon scored making it 2-1. From then on Liverpool dominated and Arteta had no answers in what should have been a Liverpool win (missed penalty + super saves from Ramsdale). Everybody could see that Liverpool had turned the game around and Arteta's changes were too late and not convincing. The truth is that Man City are now favorites to win the title.

@@davidpryce5079 he should of brought on tierney but not for zinchenko but for xhaka and then move zinchenko into midfield because our best defense is retaining the ball thats why i was baffled when he took odegaard off and switched to a back 3 by sacrificing a midfielder for an extra defender which made us even worse.

I’m slightly annoyed, the way the game ended Liverpool looked like they were the ones challenging for the title this season. Liverpool still got that mentality in them they just need a few players and they will be back. Arsenal haven’t been in a title race for years and it showed in the second half. Arsenal lack that killer mentality and I don’t know if they have enough time to find it this season to beat this Man City team. One can hope.

Cannot understand that display! Jekyll and Hyde performance. Looked so flat and dead on our feet, so early on! Ref was poor. Xhaka should never have reacted, until then, Liv players and fans were sleeping. Subs were way too late. And if we went defensive, zinny had to be taken off for tierny. Game management was so so poor today. However we move on. United got slapped at Anfield, City lost, Rambo got us through, atleast 1 World Class save!

And Martinelli did well for first 2 goals but how did he not make the pass to Saka or trossard to get the winner, also he keeps the ball too much and never looks up. Jesus should have stayed on the pitch not Saka and he would have been our focal point. Bloody gutted hours later City big odds on favourite now

Zinny concedes so much possession from constantly trying to play out from the back. Never looked comfortable today at all, constantly caught on the ball, no pace to track back or win the ball back. Then gets nutmegged for the equaliser. How Arteta doesn’t rate KT will never make sense to me! Xhaka of old, lost his head early and never got back into the game. Let the occasion get to him and it killed our momentum and gave liv the lift their crowd needed! Game management shocking!

That Xhaka incident was the turning point in the game, in my opinion. It injected turbulence to our game and raised Liverpool’s spirit and determination. And going forward, I don’t see us beating Man City or Newcastle. I think today’s game may be the game that cost us the league title.
