Had a really shitty lockdown day today (it's pissing it down with rain and blowing a gale here in Cornwall, just a few miles away from where Tori is) so to hear her speaking, imparting her usual wisdom, is such a tonic. She says there's nothing like a physical hug, and I know she's right, in a way, but this last hour feels like just the most massive hug from her. I was in college in NYC during 9/11 (still live here), and went to see Tori just a few weeks after at The Beacon Theater on the Strange Little Tour. It was somber and magical (her shows are always magical). I am paraphrasing here but she said something along the lines of "it is a privilege to play for you, New York. You are teaching the world how to heal/grieve/move forward," something along those lines. And I have to say, the privilege is all ours. How lucky we are to live in a world with this amazing talent/warrior goddess. I never wanted this interview to end. Tash was a great moderator as well! I wonder how much knowledge does Tori have on archetypal astrology and how much from her own chart she draws from? She has Sun in Leo (Apollo, Helius, Hercules), Moon in Libra (Aphrodite, Venus) and Scorpio Ascendant (Hades, Pluto). What an incredible catalogue she has and how every song is a journey. I agree. One of my dear friends that introduced me to tori during her first album in the 90s killed herself in November, and Tori was our major lifelong bond because being friends..... but shes been through my family dying and abuse etc. She is an amazing soul and shes even foretold relationship advice down to the NAME (cooling/peggy/water/ I'm fire) just magical her energy and soul. I've seen her play so many times that it's like a spiritual movement each show. I wish she would tour with oldies but goodies albums songs...that would be amazing to relive some of those moments in time live and with meaning and feelings

Scarlets walk is my favorite, i love it so much. It's in my car right now in the cd player and ive been listening to it on repeat on my commute to and from work for the last 4 weeks. That album helped me through ptsd of 911 and its helping me through 2020 in America. I love when you talk about your muses. I had a huge download from the ether end of September 2019, i was shown the whole arc and characters to the book I'm trying very hard to write, it IS the hardest thing I've done. I agree with the energy at night . Florida born and former pastors wife . I found a copy of the Light Princess oddly just floating here at a shop in Clearwater and been reading it to my son . The owner was such a sweetheart. By accident I attended the bday concert for Tori um ... I guess that’s how to say it . Her 50th Oh my god I realize I turn 40 this year and that’s significant of course . So , I was freed in many ways with the concert . But the guilt and anguish , because I “rebelled” against hubby to attend . Last part , not to freak a girl out but he had such a fit over me and my own resistance to the way he said he spoke for Yahwher (another story) Really but the fit was over you ... though he bought me all your albums . (He adores music esp rock and doesn’t bother himself about the lyrics ( He mentioned you in the divorce papers . A last thing he said to me is ::: get outta here with that “I hate Men , I hate God crap .” (Tori) His brand of Devils music was superior to mine lol he loves Led Zepplin and Beatles btw and we met cause of the Beatles . But that man, he has no idea the love for God and people in me . Not sure but we were young to marry and pleasing our parents of course . It’s a little funny now . You know giggle because here I am and my heart is still on. After this proceeds to leave with just my Tori Amos albums not much else . Oh Lord . We are all better for it . In 2001 I got to meet and hug Tori in Chicago at the McCormick Center. It was totally out of the blue, and I had had dreams of hugging her in the past. I was at my first year of college at the time and in class when a fellow Tori lover asked if I wanted to meet her. Tori was performing that night. We waited outside after the show and Tori came out to meet all of us. She was absolutely wonderful, remembering fans from previous shows, asking them follow-up questions, etc. When she got to me I just asked if I could hug her. She said softly, "Sure." As we hugged she asked my name, and I have no memory after that. I blacked out because I was so excited and overwhelmed.
