Sort of disappoints me when I see US or state flags flying in a storm. Should never fly in rain. Should be taken down.

I didn’t like that either.. they had time to pull them down. You are supposed to remove the American Flap every night and put her back up in the morning.

@briandalrymple99863 жыл бұрын
@@lovingmymcmahon3382 I agree with you …. The flag of any nation is just not a cloth. On my first visit to the USA in 2010, I was impressed by the respect you had for your flag. Seemed every house had a flag. When I got home, I bought a flag pole, and a New Zealand flag, (I’m a New Zealander), and put it up and fly it each day. It comes in at dusk, goes out at dawn, is brought down in high winds and rain, flies at half mast as a sign of respect when appropriate. Yes, the flag deserves respect and those who disrespect it should be flogged.

I respect and appreciate you storm chasing people, but man take it easy. Driving fast on a beachfront road with Gulf (or bay) water blowing across it, AND with oncoming traffic (0:40), is asking for trouble. Not just you, but the other knuckleheads that were out there driving on that road as well. (emergency vehicles excepted)

Why didn't they move it? It's not like they didn't know a storm was coming. This is always my question. People will say, it came so fast, but it's always several days warning. Time enough to make arrangements.

Luckily, Nicholas could have been worse if not for moderate wind shear and southerly dry air behind the storm which explains the slow development.

Wow, local weather radio guy here in DFW Metro said wind wasn't going to be too much of an issue for you guys down there. Said maybe a weak tree gets uprooted here and there, never spoke about a f***ing telephone pole being snapped off at the base and tossed into your backyard 3:20 and a very large tree being uprooted.
