LIVEstream - Collage postcard art

In this LIVE, I'm doing a collage art demonstration working on postcard art, and celebrating my new membership community called the Vintage & Collage Club.
I'm working on a collage, of course, but more specifically, here's what I'll cover:
⭐️ Choosing the right substrate
⭐️ Starting a new collage from a selection of papers
⭐️ Finding the right balance with collage papers
⭐️ Sharing more about the goals and projects in the new membership
⭐️ Answering any questions you may have
I love to encourage people to create collage art, particularly with vintage ephemera, and in this membership, we're going to be working on a new project every month. The purpose is to have the opportunity to play with vintage ephemera, to sharpen our collage art skills, and also just to have fun creating art!

Hi Margarete, I downloaded the free issue of your Vintage & Collage Magazine. The weekly assignments and monthly exchanges look fun and motivating. I am seriously considering purchasing a membership. Hopefully this will encourage me to carve out time for collage and paper arts. I noticed the calendar for the postcard exchange says November, but the issue is for October. Can you please clarify which month the exchange will take place? Thanks

Hi Denise, the exchange signup is open the second and third week for that month, s Every month we have a new project to work on, so we have a "window" when you can sign up to exchange. Hope that helps. 👍🏻

Margarete, it appears to me that it doesn’t really matter what the background is, in regard to your theme. For instance, the map and book page have nothing to do with “life in the country.” Am I correct, here? So all that matters is that your focal point (photo and bird) reflect the theme? The background just adds texture and color? Maybe I have been making collage more difficult than it is? Thank you.

Yes, that's exactly correct. The background just creates the "mood". The only thing.I was looking for were neutral colored papers so that it doesn't distract from the photo and bird. 👍🏻 💜
