I wish they would just give a little more images of the art. I know they do a lot of it in the previews but still a better view during the bidding wouldn't hurt.

@@lindamon5101 There was a rare in-person bidding war between two people. It seems like so many sales are phones and the in-person audience are just spectators these days. It was quite interesting to watch two people bid against each other in the room.

@@xherreraoc They’re taking bids on the phones, another team of staff in other offices can take phone bids, the audience in the room can bid, and they have also have it live on their website where you can bid there as well.

This auctioneer is the least fun one I’ve seen at Christie’s or Sotheby’s in years. All business. No humour. Very dry. He made quite an exciting evening rather boring-which is such a shame.

it is the demand, not really the work or the value of the work. Remember, wealthy people make money out of the thin air. They can come out with anything: auctioning africans was one of that crazyness. U can make a silly painting, and prince Charles of England happens to like it, and hang in his castle, that piece might cost at least $100.000 now, and more decades later. Bitcoin crazyness is the same almost same concept. I work trade floor in NYC, and those people make money out of thin air
