What happened to Brice Marden's "Event"? Was it pulled from the sale at the last second? Was it because Christie's website was hijacked? It was rumored to hit $30 - $50 million, an auction record for the artist.

@@BroDudeFun Yes, bizarre indeed. Artnet said that Christie's pulled the painting. There's subterfuge somewhere. I don't know if we'll ever get the full story. Well, Christies had their chance. It's my guess... off to Sotheby's it goes.

Jussi Pylkannen's talent as an auctioneer is missed by Christie's and this woman isn't a great replacement for him. She doesn't read the room very well - the two mistakes she made during the auction show that. She also lacks the ability to bring more emotion to the auction process to drive bids up.
