Really enjoyed this Vlog. We were in Ross in May and stayed over one night - parked up on the road right where the Lion statue is - no restrictions after 4pm. (Steve’s mum was from Ross). Totally agree, a beautiful place to visit. Just one word of warning - it’s very up and down - you will know what I mean by that.

Thanks. That’s good to know. Yes we liked it. Helped by good weather.

What a lovely little place and a shame that the buildings have been left to rot! Welcome back, I have missed your vlogs :). Ian

It was a nice place but many buildings left abandoned is never nice to find.

A back handed compliment; perhaps! I liked the fact that the presenter did not pretend to be knowledgeable and authoritative. So many videos give out wrong information. This video gave a glimpse of Ross through a families eyes. I live near Ross, so I do know a bit about it - even so there is still much to discover. On this November day, I liked wandering around Ross whilst sat in my armchair. Thanks.( for those proposing to visit Ross after watching the video Look for Noel Gordon's grave. Check out the view from The Prospect. (The birth of tourism? William Gilpin promoted the "picturesque" scenery around Ross. The name addition on Wye became necessary because postal packages ended up in the Scotland town of the same name. In the same way as the prefix Welsh was added to Pool in Wales to differentiate between Poole in Dorset. ) Being a nerd makes life interesting.

Thanks. We are happy for comments and compliments, backhanded or otherwise. We are pleased someone who knows the area well has watched the video and took the time to add more points of interest for viewers. I particularly like the reason for the ‘Wye.’
