What's your favorite breakfast?
Twas just a few days ago since I was back in my Lola's house. Today, I'll cook a humble breakfast known to all Filipino, tuyo at sinangag (dried fish and fried rice) with camote shoots and a cup of barako. Simply satisfying!^^
Later that day it rained heavily and electricity was suddenly cut off. We had a dinner with candlelight, then my pamangkin (niece) played the ukulele while I sang the song.

I love how you cooked the tuyo, boiled, and at the same time, scraped the scales. Too bad we cannot cook tuyo where I am in the winter because of the smell. You should sing more often. You have a very nice voice.

It brought me in our grandparent place where they cook toyo as our baon going to the rice field while sipping a cup of coffee, guarding the payew so as the birds wont pick the grains. I love the song and I like better you having stories like the previous ones.

I have sent you an email as well. Seeing you gathering and preparing the food to cook, and then cooking the food with so much love and respect to mother earth brings me back to a time before I moved into the city and lost the old ways of life. I am retiring this year and oh how I would love to find a woman like you to spend the rest of my life with. My retirement would allow me to enjoy a good life and to provide to her as well. I have spent a lot of time in Luzon and loved the highlands most of all (but I do like a ride to get good fresh seafood) I hope I can find a woman like you to spend the rest of my life with
