Yes everybody!… you guested it on my social media, today’s stealth camping video takes us to the amazing A&W in Barrie, Ontario, Canada!
We are going to start off our 24 hour stay at A&W just before lunch, then get an early afternoon snack, but just before our late afternoon snack we are interrupted by a phone call from an awesome KZbinr and friend from California. So we’ll skip our late afternoon snack and grab a spicy dinner and a late night high calorie bite!
We’ll then set up our stealthy SUV camper and get a great nights sleep and be awakened by a small rain shower.
For the rest of the morning we’ll have a surprise breakfast and a fantastic A&W Brunch.

A&W Food Services of Canada, Inc. is a Canadian fast food restaurant chain.
A&W Canada was part of the U.S.-based A&W Restaurants chain, but was sold to Unilever in 1972, and then bought by its management in 1995. It no longer has any corporate connection to A&W operations outside of Canada.
The Canadian operation is owned and operated by the privately held A&W Food Services of Canada Inc., based in North Vancouver, British Columbia.[3] In December 2013, A&W was Canada's second-largest fast food burger restaurant chain with 800 locations after McDonald's, which has 1,400 Canadian locations.
History
A Canadian A&W (in Stratford, Ontario)
The first Canadian A&W restaurant opened in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1956. The Canadian restaurants were part of the American chain until 1972 when they were sold to Unilever.
In 1975, facing competition from the growing Canadian operations of McDonald's, the company launched what was to have been a temporary advertising campaign starring an orange-clad mascot, The Great Root Bear. The bear and the tuba jingle that accompanied him became a long-running campaign (the tune, entitled "Ba-Dum, Ba-Dum", was released as a single by Attic Records, credited to "Major Ursus", a play on Ursa Major or "great bear"). The mascot was so successful that he was eventually adopted as the mascot by the American A&W chain as well. The famous tuba jingle was played by famed Vancouver jazz, classical and session trombonist Sharman King. King also did the ads for the "Book Warehouse" chain of discount book stores, which he owned.

Worlds worst fast food would be Wendy's! Everything on their menu is below subpar. The only thing they have going for them is the Frosties and I dont buy them because I don't want any of my friends to see me in their parking lot or drive thru.

@@Juice10ne if they offered it here I'd actually try it but sadly they don't. Wendy's menu here in the US needs a major overhaul. I dont think anything has changed in 25 years. I know 1 Wendy's that still has a hot potato bar... that was popular back in the 80s. Over the years I've tried everything (except chicken sandwich which I will be trying next weekend) ive eaten their chili twice and got sick and bad heartburn both times. I've tried every burger and they do not taste good like they did back in the day. Their Frosty is on point tho!!! They should open up a 25 flavor frosty and fry shop...

I just remembered that when I was a kid back in the 50s and early 60s A&W had curb service where they were put a tray on your window. Then they would bring you food and the root beer was served in a glass mug.

Nicely done, Ken! A&W is a solid choice. Need to recommend the frugality challenge once again. Spend 24 hours going to different places and try to get a main and a drink for $5 or $6 (adjustable if need be), and a side if it can fit in there. Let's see how far you can stretch that dollar!

What I did for stealth camping is I bought a roll of reflectix insulation, which you can cut to size to fit in your windows to block light out and for privacy. Sunshades for the front and back windows, and you can get it completely dark!

In my experience with floats since I was a kid is that the float traditionally used hard icecream and not soft serve. You should be able to scoop out icecream while eating. Also the name kind of describes it a scoop of icecream floats in the soft drink. Regardless any icecream 🍦 is good and delicious 😋

In England we do get tomatoes with our English breakfast, but they are either warm tinned tomatoes or if it's fresh tomatoes they are grilled. It's never straight up uncooked cold fresh tomatoes like A&W provide. Personally I'm a big fan of tomatoes in all forms lol
