For middle income family, the so called "simple life" (living in mountains, farms, etc.) are actually luxury. Having a peace of mind is luxury. The difference between lower income and middle income and above that are living in a simple life are still the (enough) money . Having enough money for food, medical, education or the capacity to go to vacation if you want to experience a different place is a huge difference. So yeah, that's my goal having the so called "simple" yet "hard to achieve" lifestyle

you and my dad basically have the same dream. he had an early retirement cos i guess he cant take the city life anymore and he and my mom moved back to the province. they had to work on their dream farm that they have been dreaming of for years and im happy for them because they worked their a$$ of for us. now theyre living the dream. its not glamorous but i know they are having a better life. less stress. the only set back is they dont have their pensions yet but they are getting by. and we got separated because my siblings and i are all here in the city. but i knew its time for them to follow their dreams so we cant be too clingy anymore. all is good and i cant wait to see them again. i thank God for all the blessings and i wish he would give my parents a longer happy and healthy life so they could enjoy the fruits of all their hard labor.

My father actually tried that very concept, save enough money in the metro, sell his house, gone back to the province with the whole fam so he could kick start living a simplier life, make use of the lands we have in the province, started farming and fishing fond too. But typhoon rosing destroyed it all. Its a great concept but you still have to create a plan B just in case. But i wish i could to talk to my dad again(he already gone) the way you are having conversation with yours. Always cherish the moments with your fam.
