I've been forced to watch many TED talks in academia. It's a crying shame they missed this one. Nick Lavery has changed my life and will have a huge impact on an unfathomable number of others.

Good on you mate. Inspired. Was in Mosul for a short time in '17 with one of the GB lads. Consider him a good mate. Anyway, continue to inspire and lead, this world needs it. Cheers from a 48 yr old Aussie vet.

That's the problem with the younger generation in this country. They don't have goals, don't have objectives, they aren't working towards anything. Human beings need a purpose and when you don't have one, you get in the way of people that do.

Dont generalize. Im 46 yrs young and meet tons of young folks that really impress me. Im also a vet with 3kids, a daughter who is an attorney, a daughter who is a biologist and a son in the Marine Corps. Kids only know what they are taught and shown and we have some folks of my generation who arent leading the way properly and leading by example. A bunch are busy whining and complaining about politicians, unequity, how hard it us being a white man in America.........blah blah blah, total sewage. These younger kids are doing more than we did when we were young and theyre doing it SMARTER. Are they as tough? No but toughness can be taught, see my previous comment.
