Where do people get this idea Living Colour is “underrated”? You realise they were all over mainstream rock radio, media and MTV between 1988-1994, right? Not to mention the sole support act for the North American leg of The Rolling Stones 1989 Steel Wheels Tour. They had their time in the spotlight and then it faded. It happens. How does anything I just ran down for you describe a band that is “underrated”?

Another cliche comment that everyone says...you ever notice that none of the comments on KZbin are ever about the music...there always cliche comments that don't take a lot of thought or in depth musical knowledge...nothing that you actually learn something new from or would write in a magazine article about the band...in fact, a lot of KZbin comments ruin what music is really supposed to be...most of the KZbin comments are just opinions that dirty up the energy, flow and air space that is entitled for the song...that's why artists and bands don't even look at the comments or they would probably feel insulted about a lot of them, not by them but what the comment is actually about...music is art...people who critique art that have never picked up a paint brush and painted a original piece of art really don't have the ability to properly comment about anything a artist creates...it's like someone answering the phone in a different language then the language being used by the person calling...you will not find this comment that I just wrote here on any other video on KZbin or anywhere in the world. It is a original thought unlike 90% of all KZbin comments which are either the same comment on different video's hence "I'm the first person to comment on this video" or the standard cliche comment "this band doesn't get the recognition they deserve" or "this song makes me feel like walking into McDonalds and ordering 10 Big Mac's before I punch the manager in the face"...these are typical grade school cliche comments that you find on many video's and at the same time it's these kind of low class cliche comments that get more likes then a thoughtful creative well written talented inspiring comment that usually doesn't get a like at all. This phenomenon shows the digression of the newer generations in society being more of followers or cattle then having leadership qualities which is why we are not producing anymore Steve Jobs or lyrical rappers who would both actually develop the abilities in the next individuals coming out of highschool or college to be of that high level creative caliber. Instead, the students graduating highschool and college are not accomplishing anything new hence these same old cliche non-inspiring comments on almost every video getting the most attention and most likes which drain the reader of learning anything new or developing anything creative for the next students graduating therefore we have more and more followers online and in the world which is why there has been no new music that is top shelf of innovative creations or inventions for the last century. It is all recycled overused treadmill factory produced assembly line created low level made in your bedroom instead of big city intelligence driven new dimensional million dollar made music in elaborate studio's with all 4 or 5 members of the band and a well rounded music producer in one place instead of the music file being emailed to each member sitting in their bedroom of their parents house recording their separate part without any outside input throwing different idea's into the musical stew simmering and marinating the music and lyrics so that magic is made and not a lop sided idea where you have one or two of the members laying down their tracks with the other two or three band members contributing cliche overused auto-tuned uneducated music idea's this creating a haphazard piece of music that will not inspire the listener so that they create another lack luster piece of music and the cycle continues as each band follows the other never creating another Pink Floyd -The Wall or the Beatles - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club masterpiece or a Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt or Notorious BIG - Ready To Die. This non evolution will not only effect the music business but the same can be said for movies or just about anything else where creativity is needed. Hence, the reason you cannot remember the last time you saw a great classic movie or heard a CD from beginning to end where each and every song is brilliant. I conclude by saying please do not encourage trendy comments since it just effects everything else in society bringing the bar set to a low level with a bunch of followers trying to lead the way.

I saw Living Colour live three times but the last time is almost 20 years ago. I occasionally watched more recent clips on YT here and thought that they sadly lost it. Finally got too old, I thought. This show proves: far from it! So incredible. This concert is as good as the shows I saw in '93 and 2003. It is not as good as the 1988 show I saw, their first Europe tour, but hey: that cannot be matched -- the freshness, the raw energy of youth and being the new hot thing. However. I am totally blown away. And then you get Steve Vai on top of it and they play Zep and Hendrix … thanks so much for this upload.
