Kids education totally free till 12th if they r attending public schools , including transportation. The quality of school education is excellent in states like Virginia and Boston. Passing out 12th grade from their is equivalent to getting degree in India. But after 12th , the college education is very high than most of the other countries in the world.

Interesting video. I can calculate Australian expenses using US one as a template. Just multiply by two and subtract medical insurance. In Australia most of the stuff has to be imported. If something is not imported then it is very expensive. One can of salmon cost 4 AUD in Sydney which only costs between 0.99 t0 1.97 CAD in Canada. Yes I know the video has nothing to do with Australia. If your delivery might have happened in Canada (just across the border) the cost would have been Zero with a world class treatment. One of my wife's friend who immigrated from Canada to USA used say his eldest son was born like a prince Toronto and daughter was born like a pauper in Detroit.

Depends on where and how one wants to live!!!! A shirt in a thrift store /goodwill store/ Salvation Army store costs $5-10/- or even less, one in Neiman Marcus could be well over $400- 500/-. !!! Recently I saw a shirt in Neiman Marcus for $550/--

Miss that depends upon your salary. If you make 1 mm you can spend with in 30 days. If you are making only minimum salary, spend less and surveys with that. When you are in U.S you have to live like an American. Indians never spend, they never go to a nice restaurant. You live only once.

Hi Chechi you said everything right because couple months ago my was hospitalized for 2,3 days for kidney stone pain. After Several weeks the bill came which was around $30000 but insurance paid almost 90% and we paid around 3000.

Btw,comparing expenses in USA and India is foolishness. Similarily if a well to do family here says they need Rs 1.5 lakhs per months for expenses, a lower middle class family will laugh because they need only Rs 10000 per month , may be they are more satisfied. As luxury increases or desires increase, expenses also will increase! Know this basic fact.Also a family that doesn't have debts require less income.

*Here in Germany, Health care and Education for Children are free, Those who have Citizenship or Blue Card (Schengen Blue Card {Which is valid in 26 countries}.), And Monthly expense for me and my family is almost €500-600 (INR 40,000-48,000 Pm)..*
