Thank you sir for your service. You live by something my SFC told me when i made Sgt. in 1973 in the army, you must take care of your men and they will take care of you. Im 70 years old now and still do this. I've got my butt in trouble from my bosses for it but the true is I can't do it any other way. Thank you and my SFC Bill Kenndy, I'll never forget you and that advice

I remember my ex father-in-law showing me his Silver Star from WWII before I went to Vietnam, saying, "son, you don't want one of these".

I met Col. Mize at Bragg in 1980. He was the liason officer for SF Reserve/ Guard at the JFK Center. My Father in Law and Col. Mize were friends in SF. It was an honor to meet him and have his guidance.

All of these mistakes were not a coincidence, including the tootsie roll drop. The UN command wanted the Chinese to embarrass US at all costs. I know it’s hard to understand but Mao was trained and funded by Yale University. My dad was at the Chosin as a Marine, thank god he came home.

Called the Medal of Honor....

You are correct! The name of the Medal is simply “Medal of Honor” - the word “Congressional” is sometimes mistakenly used because the Medal was created by Congress; however, the Medal is purely a military award. The Congressional Medal of Honor Society was chartered by Congress, which is why the word Congressional precedes the Society’s name.
