Amen! Great saying. It was nice to just get out in the woods with the birds chirping and sun shining. Realized after the fact it was Friday the 13th so I'm sure the spiritual realm was just popping off which definitely contributed to feeling "down". God Bless Margie 💕

We did the cabin life, a family of 4 in a 240 sq ft shed with cheap insulation, no running water, a couple of solar panels, cooking in the snow, showering outside, hauling 4,000lbs of water every 2 weeks, a bucket for our bathroom, walking up a mountain in deep snow to get to our vehicle in the winter, etc. It was hard, but SO worth it. We felt better living that way. EMF will destroy your health.

I couldn't agree more. They arnt all good days but I wouldn't change it for the world. I love the life I've built and continue to build. Couldn't imagine going back to a conventional way of life. I'd literally go crazy 🤪 God Bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️

No excuse not to have running water a hot shower and a flush toilet. No big deal for a man but a woman is different want her to be loyal good woman then a man needs to step up and make sure she is comfortable. Fair go ? So easy to install and if outside of building permit areas the cost to install is very cheap less than $1000. The blue 200 liter plastic drums 10 of them lined up for water, cost $20ea. A 4gpm 12V boat style pressure water pump less than $200. Propane tankless hot water heater $300 or like me I use a RV propane water heater it is only 6 gal makes for a short shower so I added a 12gal 120V 1500w water heater for when I have the genny on. There is your complete water system. Fill the tanks from the rain gutters, nearby stream, put 2 drums in the back of the truck and refill in the city. Lots of options for this. The wife and I use exactly 80 gallons of water per day for daily shower, flush toilet, washing dishes and load of laundry every 2 days on average. This is not a big deal. Used toilet is free. Septic is another drum but this time use a 55gal steel oil drum. Punch a bunch of holes in it with your axe. Bury it in the ground as far away from the house as your pipe will reach I use 2 inch PVC this has never clogged up in 16 years. And there is your leach field. But make sure your leach field has someplace lower to drain to. So simple. Laundry ? We have an Atco style industrial portable building we keep the washer dryer in. Set up a 40gal hw tank there. Have a 7500w onan diesel genny run it for 3 hours to heat the hot water, do a load of laundry, charge the batteries. The genny was worn out years ago and is I bet 50 years old. That old genny still runs good very little smoke and pretty good for fuel. I found it in a scrap heap gave the fellow $50 for it did the rebuild myself. Shower ? I really liked the outdoor shower we had in Australia. But in canada the balls get tight as a drum with that outdoor shower here. But the warm moist shower in a small area is unpleasant. Make the shower to vent outside ie against the wall and then open the window when the shower is on. This will keep things warm so will not freeze yet will not fill the cabin with stinky moist shower air. Anyway, you do you and I will do me I want to be comfortable and I do not want my wife to leave me we all have differing expectations.

Dont stress or worry God knows your needs,pray for ideas ! maybe get a job in a grocery store or something for now ,put a post in stores on community boards that you do odd jobs, split firewood for people look at their wood piles and see if they need kinlen or logs split ,your good at building build leantoo sheds or firewood covers, put out that you can help winterize homes, youtube doesn't pay for a while takes time,till then get a job of some sort so you can get the equipment you need to build your channel

I know money is an issue, but maybe you can make the property more aesthetically pleasing. A coat of paint could improve your mood. It could be a cheap cost for a video. Add a stone pathway to make the outside look better.

Good morning from foggy Northern Illinois!! You do such an amazing job with your wooden spoons you should make some wooden spatulas to use when cooking or stirring. I just found some at the thrift store and love them!! They work great for scrambled eggs!! 😊 You could even make like a large wooden serving spoon. That 9s my next find at the thrift store!

Great memories of the hobo hut you should build a few of them and make them air b n b when your finances get better of course is there any benefit from building the cabin with 2 stories
@MapleMonkeyHomestead6 күн бұрын
It’s a great idea and I’m sure a tiny home is in the future. The benefit of a second story is way more space for my bedroom, bed on the lower level would take up way to much space

Goodmorning from Alabama Adam. Id imagine you go to the thrift stores . Sure can find amazing stuff, very usable, necessary stuff at them. Cabin is coming along the insulation outside looks good. I know you use the propane camping stove for cooking. But have you used your wood stove for cooking yet. We have a Waltons type cook stove in a sun room l built on after we got married in 07. Cook an warm the entire place . Place is looking great.
@MapleMonkeyHomestead6 күн бұрын
For sure! Alot of the stuff has come from the thrift stores. Absolutely love hunting for those special items. I've used the stove for cooking before, only problem is I really only like to do it on the colder days as it really heats the place up. The temperature hasn't been consistently cold enough but I'm planning to do a pot roast in my slow cooker very soon:) Thanks for stopping in brother. God Bless

I have a woodstove also , but every now n then I buy kerosene n just use the kerosene heater a few days to give myself a break from feeding the woodstove in the middle of the night. 🙏👍😏

Get a temporary part time job until your KZbin channel takes off. Will give you money to finish off cabin and will be less stressful having some $ coming in. How far are you from town? Go drive a school bus. 2-3 hours in AM, come home for 4-5 hours and back to bus garage 2-3 hours in afternoon.
@MapleMonkeyHomestead6 күн бұрын
For sure! It would be nice. But I'd lose alot of the time I use for focusing on growing my KZbin, don't know if the short term gain would be more beneficial for long term goals. It's a nice idea though :)
