I’m a Registered Nurse. I lived in my car for almost 2 years in order to pay off my debt and save for a down payment for my house. It’s a great challenge but I made it with my faith in God who helped and protected me. My family doesn’t know I lived in my car.

Almost all my life I had a very high tolerance for people. At age 68 I no longer want to be around anyone. Two ex-wives taught me just how terrible people can be. I no longer have any contact with what family I have left and that's how it is going to stay!!

As a dentist, please do not be afraid to see us! I always tell patients not to wait until you’re in pain or a tooth is broken. That means it’s going to hurt more, cost more, and take more time, which will only make things worse if you’re already afraid. Prevention is key. Try to make it to checkups and cleaning appointments every 6 months so if there are any issues, they are caught early. I suggest finding a dentist that will take things slow with you and at your comfort level. Some dentists also offer in office sedation or nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to calm you down during treatments. Trust me, you do not want to lose all of your teeth. Dentures aren’t fun and come with a list of issues. Hang in there, you’ve got this! ❤️

It took this video for me to subscribe! At 54, I made the difficult decision to leave Atlanta and moved to Los Angeles, living in my car. It was/is the best decision of my life. I put my stuff in storage, got me a part-time job in Beverly Hills, being homeless living in a Tiny Home now temporarily and just landed a major grant, loan and business credit for my charity and businesses. As I go from Homeless to Homebuilder, I plan to build tiny homes around the US., 599 square feet and up. I’m 55 next month and I’m homeless by choice with a great checking & savings. Now, I have the 20% to borrow a construction to permanent loan to build GILMORE HOMES 🙏🏿👍🏿🏠💙💯💰.

It's best to be alone nowadays. If you can find someone with a like mind, responsible make sure they take care of their business it would be great but nowadays it's next to impossible to find responsible people who are willing to work together. I know I'm responsible and I don't want to have to take care of anyone at my age not unless it's a family member a child or my nieces or my nephews. No grown folks nope and once my nieces and nephews are of age they will be working on getting their own.

I'm new to your channel and am always watching survival videos since I have been on the verge of being homeless several times. I started looking into videos on how to live out of my car, foraging for wild edibles, gardening, filtering water, etc. I have only seen a few of your videos so far, but absolutely love your attitude. Anyways, I thought I'd share one of my recipes for grilling out...I used to be called "Queen of the Grill." I grilled EVERYTHING possible. My recipe for grilling whole chicken: Inject whole chicken (using meat injector) with lemon pepper marinade (or whichever marinade you prefer), stuff chicken (optional), baste chicken, add seasonings of your choice. Place charcoal in a circle (leaving middle empty) in grill and light. Once charcoal is ready then place the chicken in the middle of the circle (this allows it to bake evenly without burning underneath...mimics an oven). Cover top of chicken with foil and put the top of the grill on to trap in the heat. Just keep an eye on it and when you think it's ready, slice open to see if it's done (no pink meat). It used to practically fall off the bone and still maintain juices. I was told that I should start my own BBQ shack, but I have since become a vegetarian. I've cooked meatloaf, pizza...everything...on the grill! Just thought I'd share in case you would like to try it. Much love to you! PS People ARE CrAzY 😆

Anthony, I just subscribed to your channel after the grits video but also started watching your Q&A videos. Your perspective brings so much depth to van life living especially in terms of wanting stability while working a 9-5 in the same industry for over 30 years. I live in a big city where more and more people live out of their cars not out of glamour, sometimes due to lack of choices, but also as a form of active choice and financial empowerment. Keep staying true to yourself and not feel pressured to diverge off who you are and what you like to share with us audiences. Celebrating you, stability, constancy, your and your mom and nieces and nephews and loved ones’ good health and happiness.

Love hearing your back story and it's very inspiring to me. I am currently in between housing and have been living in hotels for over a week. I have been thinking about about living in my car because the prices of the hotels are not feasible for what I'm currently making ( live in Atlanta) and don't want to be committed to an apartment. I'm a bit hesitant about living in my car just because I'm not sure where I could park my car in Atlanta and feel safe. Listening to your story helps me not to feel so scary about it. Started a business last year and it did not do well at all. Coupled with some unexpected expenses it helped to put me in a bad financial place. Recently paid off the majority some business expenses and like you, I want to build up my savings and pay off remaining debt.

The amount of people living in their car is so heartbreaking… you don’t always have to be familiar with a situation to be compassionate or to even understand. I get so angry when ppl are trying to portray others as living above their means & don’t budget properly… this is not the case at all… I also hate that ppl assume everyone homeless is on the streets or mentally unstable or on drugs. I want to help ppl that really can use a break. I’m going to by some acres of land that can sustain people that need alternative living the catch is the land in the city is extremely high where the majority of resources are…. Just sending everyone love & prosperity. Hope all of you are safe 🥰

Anthony I am more scared than you are. My dentist is very understanding and gives me headphones with my favorite music. Then when he has to do big jobs I get a little sedation. Bad teeth can harbor bacterias that affect the lining of your heart so it’s important to take care of your teeth and gums. That gap affects your confidence and ultimately the way you smile. Take care of Anthony as no one else will. Good luck with finding a dentist. When you do please do a video of your visit. It will help those of us that share the same fears. You have a purpose and you set goals and work hard to achieve them. I admire that so much. Thank you. Stay safe. It’s easier when you don’t have to be around too many people right now.❤️
