My family is all in recovery. Highly recomend going to AA MEETINGS! They have all women AA meetings if preferred. Meetings are about10% avoiding use and 90% learning how to live.

All these people commenting here are so happy for you. I, myself, feel like we have all been 'played'. I could sense that something just wasn't right with your 'story' when I'd watch your videos. You seemed too confident and like you were just 'vacationing'; not like the rest of us who do not have that 'safety - net', such as a husband who was checking up on us regularly, making sure things were o.k. and that we were safe. It would have been better if you had leveled with us from the start and told us from the beginning that you were just taking some time away from your marriage.

I’m happy for you. Take your time. Both of you work on creating a space and relationship that is healthy and honest. The foundation of a good relationship is that you truly like each other. Like if you weren’t romantically involved with that person, you could see being friends with them. Appreciating each other is also important. Not taking each other for granted. My husband and I also pray and make God the center of our marriage. Marriage is like any other important relationship in your life. It’s not going to always be easy. It takes both parties putting in, what they want to get out of it. You’re going to get on each other’s nerves sometimes, it’s a human thing, but if you are patient with each other and are intentional in showing love day to day, you will have more good days than bad. Also…. 1. Keep people including family out of your relationship. If you need to talk to someone other than your spouse, let it be God or someone of the same gender who is mentally and spiritually mature and/or has a healthy, happy marriage. 2. Keep a united front when it comes to the kids. Do NOT let them cause division between you and do not allow them to speak negatively or disrespectfully about either of you. Give them lots of love and support, but hold them accountable when they do wrong. 3. Do NOT speak about each other negatively to ANYONE! Wishing you the very best!

I am so proud of you! A lot of people in van life should be more transparent and acknowledging their own shortcomings because for most there are underlying issues which cause us to be where we are.
