No disrespect I still gave the video a 👍🏼 but if your gonna make a comparison I think it’s only fair to give both states equal pros and cons, it just seemed a bit one sided is all. I don’t want to assume whether you are a NC or Cali native since you didn’t mention it, but I can tell you’re very comfortable when speaking about what Cali has to offer. On the flipside you seemed to struggle quite a bit to say anything spectacular about NC. No mention of the Blue Ridge Parkway. (The longest highway carved between mountains in the country offering countless stops for Picnics, Hikes and picturesque views of multiple mountain sites including *Mt.Mitchell the tallest mountain on the east coast and *Grandfather Mountain the second oldest mountain in the world) No mention of Corolla, NC along the coastline. (which is home to the Corolla wild horses of North Carolina, unique to NC only and the only wild horses on the entire east coast) No mention of the Hinnant Farm, The Mother Vine or Duplin wineries. (The Mother Vine being the oldest winery in the country, compared to Napa Valley might seem minuscule but they offer tours along with wine tastings and can make for a very pleasant afternoon with friends or family.) No mention of the Outer Banks. (Home to the highest sand dunes on the east coast if your into 4 wheelers and dirt bikes, also the most remote islands on the east coast offering hundreds of miles of pristine coastline perfect for fishing, swimming and camping right on the beach and watching the sunrise the next morning) No mention of both Raleigh and Charlotte being some of the fastest growing city hubs in the country (Raleigh also being home to the largest museum of science in the southeast, the first art museum in the country and RTP being largest research park in the country and the second largest Tech Hub outside of Silicon Valley). Aside from City sizes, Hollywood and Population. In terms of things to do I personally think NC can match just about any state but as usual a lot of our main attractions simply don’t get the shine they deserve because they fly under the radar, nonetheless I do respect your opinion and I’ll continue to support the channel.

Not nearly as well-known or popular for surfing as California.

I MOVED TO NC 14 MONTHS AGO AFTER LIVING MOST OF MY LIFE IN THE SF BAY AREA AND A FEW YEARS IN SO CA,.. FIRST IF YOUR GOING TO COMPARE ALL OF CA TO NC YOU'LL NEED TO INCLUDE THE ENTIRE EAST COAST FROM NC DOWN TO THE TIP OF FLA. SECOND, BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER., TO SAY THAT ONE PLACE OR KIND OF NATURE IS BETTER THAN ANOTHER IS NOT REALISTIC. I DON'T HAVE A GREAT FONDNESS OF CA DESERTS BUT I KNOW OTHERS THAT FIND THEM VERY INTERSTING AND BEAUTIFUL THE SF OCEAN IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT FOR ME TO COLD TO SWIM. NO PROBLEM IN THE WARM NC ATLANTIC. BEFORE WE LEFT SF WE SPENT TIME IN THE SUMMER AND WINTER IN THE BEAUTIFUL GOLD COUNTRY AND MAJESTIC YOSEMITE.VALLEY, WE NOW EQUALLY ENJOY THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY AND SURROUNDING MOUNTIANS. WE ENJOYED OUR FIRST 4 SEASONS IN NC.THE FALL WAS BREATHTAKING, THE WINTER WAS SHORT, THE SPRING WAS A NICE CHANGE AND SUMMER NIGHTS ARE GREAT, WE DID HAVE ABOUT 6 WEEKS OF HIGH HUMIDITY, BUT TO OUR SURPRISE WE LIKED IT OVER SF FOG. NC COST OF LIVING IS A BIG PLUS, THE HOMELESS AND DRUG PROBLEM IN SF AND LA IS AWFUL. TO MY SURPRIZE NC STATEWIDE IS A MIX OF LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES BUT UNLIKE THE SF AREA MY EXPERIENCE WITH PEOPLE HERE IS THAT THERE IS FAR MORE TOLERANCE HERE OF EACH OTHERS VIEWS. I AM NOT A CHAMPION OF TRUMP, BUT IF I WAS I WOULDN'T DARE LEAVE MY CAR IN SF WITH A TRUMP BUMPER STICKER FOR FEAR OF VANDALISM. TO BE FAIR LEAVIING ANY CAR IN SF TOURIST LOCATIONS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA, I HAVE MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN CA AND WILL ENJOY RETURN VISITS. BUT FOR ME THERE IS NO COMPARISON FOR QUALITY OF LIFE... I'LL TAKE NC... EVEN IF YOU DON'T COUNT THE AREA DOWN TO FLA.

Must have been a while since you spent much time in NC. "Pleasant winters" ??!! You couldn't be further from the truth there, for years ! For starters, it rains more days and nights a week than not (actually flooding much too frequent now), often with temps just above snow producing ability, making you realize you'd rather it be covered in a blanket of it the whole season. Much better than yards with standing water, mud and muck everywhere, that you can't do anything in, not to mention the sun rarely shines, just adding to the grimness and giving it that constant, ominous and apocalyptic look and feel on top of it all. Just a couple of recent fun facts for you cause from this video, you obviously don't have a clue...2018 was the 'Wettest Year On Record" here, with over 17 inches ABOVE normal/average rainfall/precipitation. 2020 ended in the top 5 I think, with over 12 inches above and 2021 is off to the same start as we are almost 2 inches above average now only mid January. "Natural Disasters" you got partly right with Hurricanes, as we have Several a year with Multiple Ones Being Major, Landfalls, with direct, destructive and devastating hits that take years if not decades to recover from. You failed however, to mention the always increasing, year round threats from "Severe Weather". It doesn't matter what the season is, every month of the year we have "Severe Storm Warnings With Tornado Potential" of different levels. Just a short while back (2 to three weeks ago this winter), we were under a level 3 risk here in Eastern NC and they kill people here every year now. The "Humidity", I do HATE with a passion and won't even say much other than outside of Air Conditioning, you'll sweat here in summer, possibly May through October. In closing, unfortunately, where I'm at now, besides bad weather, there's only Nasty Sounding, Loud Vehicles EVERYWHERE (seriously, they think it want run right if it won't pierce ears and they like waking you at 3 AM with it) and low class people that even give "Redneck" a bad name. NC used to be great but it SUCKS now for Many reasons !! I've seen it declining for years and I'm getting away from it soon, hopefully, if things can go right for a change. Good Day to you.

@@laurajohnson9707 I don’t think we share the same definition for ‘accessible’. People who live in the Bay Area are within about 30min drive to the most worldly and scenic beaches, mountains, valleys, and deserts. There is no one place like that in NC. People who live in Raleigh are 4-5hrs away from “mountains” but about 2hrs away from beaches. People in Charlotte are 4.5hrs from the beach and 2hrs from the mountains, that’s not exactly what I call “accessible”. If that’s what you call accessible then you could say the same for SC and VA.
