Tomatoes are in fact a fruit but back in the early 1970's they were remarketed as a vegetable. They are now sold and used and grown as a vegetable . There are now 2 or 3 generations of people who did never know them as fruit.

You have to love beans on toast. Last night I made my gourmet version. Beans on toast - cut into little square, then on top of this add fried mushrooms onions and bacon - also cut up, then top with grated cheese. Definitely hits the spot 😃. I did laugh at your translation of ‘lundi à Dimanche’ on the car park. It means ‘Monday to Sunday’ rather than May to August! We didn’t stay in such a nice flat level parking space, the aire nearby was bumpy, earthy, square and behind the trees. But free, which is very nice of the town a delightful place by the water.

Tomato is actually a fruit [technically], but practically it is used mostly in salads, so people just assume it is a vegetable. It can be sweet, but usually it is a savoury more that sweet taste. Most salad foods are either tubers or leafy greens, and not fruits that come from flowers. Potatoes and tomato's are closely related, and the family tends towards producing poisonous parts. [Beware the green potato-spud!]

What a difference between UK and France, indeed most European countries, where camper vans etc are welcomed whereas here wild camping banned basically all over England and moved on in laybys at night, as for car parks for free forget it. What a lovely place to stay in this vlog.

Have you tried a smear of Vaseline on your door/window rubbers? It's recommended for caravanners over wintering their vans. Also a saucer of salt on your work top will attract the moisture in the van ......yeah I know, Nellie Knowall. Just love your vids!!!

Hi, use silicone spray, furniture polish on the door rubbers to stop them holding moisture and sticking in the cold.

There is nothing wrong with beans and eggs on toast for Valentine's. I used to drive long haul across North America, and my wife and I were in Jackpot Nevada for our first anniversary. Nothing was open, so we had Busch bake beans for dinner. It's our regular anniversary meal.

You are in one of our favourite areas of France, we have taken our van down to Annecy & Bourget a few times and can really recommend Boulangerie Claret in Le Bourget-du-Lac, some of the best breakfast pastries we have come across :) In my opinion, that is the best Valentines, it ain't about spending loads of money. We are now very eager to get out in the van again, thanks for the inspiration.

I loved this weeks film and it brought back a few good memories of some time spent in that part of France, i am still smiling so thanks. My cat William and i have mastered waliking on a lead out in the countryside but its like having toddlers back on reins, he stops every four minutes to sit down and stretch or pounce on things i cannot see ......slow going. Loved the vlog Emily & Lou, my favorite place is the alps, not far from Annency and Chamonix is the villages of Samoens and further uphill is Morzine, should be great skiing up high in the mountains, access by cable car....Samoens is a beautiful village and has stunning scenery surrounded by mountains, has a stunning bakery and patisserie...fun facts Emily...its on a stage of the tour de france this year 🤣🤣🤗
