I'm moving to Chongqing in about 5 weeks. I was initially supposed to be movinng with a friend...but going it alone now. I'm pretty nervous, so thanks for this reassuring video. I was planning to get a much more basic (I.e cheaper) apartment though lol. Yours looks so luxurious! 😍 Haha

I also use the heating lamp to dry the bathroom after I shower, since it's a wet room it makes it dry faster. But I live up North where it's cold...

Best of luck, man! If you have any tips for someone getting started, I’m all ears. I’m just trying to do the research and not be fooled. Hoping to be able to teach English to kinder. I have my bachelors but would need to get a tefl as well as passport. I’m sure there are 100 more steps but any help along the journey would be appreciated.

Great apartment. Guess I am looking for recommendations. I am thinking of taking a job in China. Am a teacher and examiner. I have lived in South East Asia (from the UK) but don't speak Mandarin yet. Would mainly be working from home with family here. We have an 18 month old girl. Either Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing or Guangzhou. Maybe Shanghai better for newcomer but would save money in Chongqing. How is it living in Chongqing? It looks like a good city. What are your experiences of life there? Would you recommend it for us?

How expensive is to have a housekeeper for your apt on daily basis?
@FirstLeapChina3 жыл бұрын
You can hire a live in house keeper or even one who comes in every now and then for a good price. It'll vary depending on city and depending on what you want the housekeeper to do (cleaning, cooking etc.)

As Asian squat toilet is really good for bowels and it's really doing daily bowels movement very smoothly and not like sitting one and I will choose this when outside (em from Singapore)

another fun video. just a comment about you guys kept saying this was western or that was western. To me, there is not much difference between the western or Chinese style of the items used in a house hold. Actually, almost all of them are made in China including the ones you used in your own countries. lol

oh, heck, I didn't even realize until you mention it. You are quite right, using squat toilet actually help to stretch your spine, and it can fix back pain and sore in a certain extend. But some Chinese apartment having squat toilet in the living room is more of a hygiene thing, they don't want to sit on something others had sat on (and took a dump, not to mention possible skin disease and so on).
