Somebody was talking about spending 20K In a few months here. Absolutely! In Santo Domingo there is the lifestyle of people driving Ferrari's and spending 300 dollars on dinner. So even living here, you need to be smart about your money. About Dominican women, well, you need to be smart about them too. If you go to the supermarket and you see a gorgeous, cinnamon skin girl getting off her luxury SUV. Don't talk to her, you can't afford her. Now, of you see a gorgeous caramel running the register when you are going to pay. Then talk to her, that's your target audience 😮

I'm a Dominican pilot flying for an American company and living in Santo Domingo. I would like to clarify some points. Some of these videos kind of give you the wrong impression that the DR is a poor country. Let's debunk that notion right now! The DR is listed as #68 of over 210 countries based on GDP. So can you live with $1000 or 1500 per month? Yes you can, but be mindful that you cannot afford a lifestyle with a girlfriend and eating out all the time and enjoying going out to the beach. Is it cheaper than the US? Yes it is, but to live a lifestyle where you can get an apartment at a nice area in Santo Domingo, have a girlfriend (by the love of Christ. DO NOT GET MARRIED) You will need north of 3,000 a month. If you have an income of around 5,000 a month.. Then you are living an enviable lifestyle. 5000 grand in Miami is foodstamp lifestyle 😅
@ariefraiser1408 сағат бұрын
Most people in Miami don't have $5000/month after tax. You need an $80,000/year job to pull in $5000/month.

I look for rent round 300/400 per month when I travel, I eat once or twice a day and don’t spend over 10 on food I go to local joints that serve good quality food nothing fancy, I mainly eat a lot of fruit and drink hella fresh juices max I do spend would be 10, I plan my day accordingly rather than wondering and spending tons on travel, I do a lot of activities that are free like going to the beach and I walk a lot. I don’t drink or smoke so if I had to guess I’m spending another 300/400 just on expenses. And not to forget I get occasional massages.

How much is health Insurance monthly?
@antoniotula2625 ай бұрын
The biggest clue is that the DR government requires proof of $1500/month income for Rentista and Pensionado visas. Minimum.
@JonasBluntson4 ай бұрын
Since when do they ask that? I had friends in their 20s staying for months at a time
@antoniotula2624 ай бұрын
@JonasBluntson Your friends are classified as "overstay" & typically pay a penalty upon departure. They didn't apply for or get visas to stay there as pensioners or longterm renters. Google it, the info is there on govt sites.
@JonasBluntson4 ай бұрын
@antoniotula262 the penalty is like $20 or $40 so it's no big deal
@antoniotula2624 ай бұрын
@JonasBluntson Yeah, most people staying a few months just pay on the way out. If you actually live there and only come here, maybe twice a year, then it's worth it to get those visas. Especially if you own a business or property.
