Brings back some memories! I have been living in Fuzhou for 4 years. And well, I am glad I left it in the end : (. you’re right the weather is not very enjoyable (very damp) and the air quality is not good (stainless steel plants). Furthermore, there is not a lot to do over there. The people though are super friendly!!

I'm a little lost, your description says you took the train to the province of Fuzhou. Fuzhou is a city in Fujian province no? I've been there numerous times so it's a little embarrassing having to ask lol. I also absolutely love Fuzhou, thus far my overall favorite city I've been to in China, beautiful, culturally rich and not bogged down by tourists, love it, cheers

I'm glad you get to visit Fuzhou, TIngjiang espeically. That's where my family are from. I grew up in Fuzhou but I've been to Tingjiang many times when I was a kid. I'm sure it's completely different now. There are many ancestory tombs in Tingjiang too. Not sure if your dad took you to yours. I am 1 of the Yeung's.
