Ajahn Brahm did not quite get the story about Gandhi correct. A Hindu man was wracked with guilt because he had killed a Muslim during anti-Muslim rioting in India. Gandhi advised him that the way to overcome his guilt was to adopt a Muslim boy who had been orphaned by anti-Muslim violence and to raise him as a Muslim.
