Living in Jeju - in my fifties

wow. it's my first time seeing a video from you (thanks youtube recommendations!) but i can't believe you're in your fifties. though i'm only 23, i feel like we'd get along pretty well haha. i tend to relate to people older than me pretty often and even have been close to people 4 times my age! connections with such age gaps can be a little odd at first but friendships can be found in unlikely ways sometimes ^^ i'm glad that you're allowing yourself the space to be yourself, it can be such a difficult thing to do, and you're doing it! loved the video :))

@@chicjeju I am 59 and I don't feel like my age either. I will be 60 next year, yet I still feel like I'm still 30. lol. Greetings from Canada. When I retire, I want to go back to the country of my birth and live in Jeju for about a year. If I like it, I might just retire there permanently.

@@jillthompson6110 Hi there, thank you for your comment. I have actually met quite a number of people who moved to Jeju after they retired and moved back to Korea from overseas. I think it has something to do with the beautiful sky you see here. Age truly has little meaning. It's only a reminder not to waste time on the wrong things in life. Thank you so much for watching!

i always felt age is a state of mind. my friends range from ages 21 to 60, and i fit well with each of them in different ways. to be honest i never actually wondered what your age was except in the very beginning when i needed to figure out what to call you. you're the same age as some of my siblings so i guess to me you're just jamie noona.☺

Hi Geekdiggy, I don’t really pay too much attention to age though as you might be aware , it’s pretty important to many people in Korea…but then I’d love to think of it as a means to figure out how to call each other just like you….^^

The whole time you were with Arirang I should have been calling you noona Jamie!! I would like to insert some fake outrage here but I'm sorry that you felt the need to hide your age from us, I think overall the WoJ family draws an older crowd because of the time slot and we as a community would have embraced it. If you're ever up for it, I'd love to see one of your favorite go-to quick meals to cook or throw together. I'm still impressed by your love of matcha, it's not for me because it's a bit too grassy but I love how you have the whipper and go through all of the effort for a cup of tea. Thank you for sharing with us more regularly!

During my time on the show, I sometimes would stop myself from going too deeply into my story sharing when it felt it would reveal more of how old I might be but at the same time it was thanks to all the life experiences that I could come up with so many … anyways thanks for the continued support!
