In September last year I was rushed to Bangkok Pattaya hospital. 15 minutes after arrival I was in ICU (private room & own nurse). After 1 day I was taken to my own private room with huge balcony and bathroom. Nurses checked on me every hour. The doctor checked on me every morning and afternoon. Turns out I had sepsis e coli and close on kidney failure. They most certainly saved my life. Came out after 6 days. The bill was just over £3000, which the insurance paid except £100 excess. I'm convinced I wouldn't have got the same care here in the UK from the NHS. Amazing Thailand.

Hi Heath Yes the small "kartofler" are small potatoes. They are often fried on pan with a mixture of butter and sugar. In Danish its called "brune kartolfler or in english "brown potatoes" due to the colour of the sugar, butter and potatoes when being fried. Often it is served with roast pork. Brune kartofler is a very traditional danish dish. And it is indeed herring you found. Sild is herring. The variant you found is the tradition one - marinated Herring. The brand is "Fiskemandens" or in english "The fishermans". The herrings are caught in the northsea around Denmark, Norway or Iceland.

Great video! After 12 previous trips to Thailand, I am finally moving to Pattaya at the end of September. I currently live near Houston and just went down to Mexico to make sure all my dental work was good and to have 2 crowns replaced. I literally may have went to one of the few destinations cheaper than Thailand for dental work. I cant wait to get to Thailand and start my KZbin channel.

We used Proud Dental Clinic. My gf’s filling was repaired for 800 baht. Cleanings are also 800 baht Good staff

Agreed. I’ve been to a hospital for blood tests. Results 90 mins , chat with dr. Fab service , good price. Also I’m seeing a dentist for a treatment plan in bkk. Very very good , yes 3rd world country my friends said in uk 🇬🇧. Well , at least I get seen quickly and treated unlike archaic uk 🇬🇧 😊.

I love pickled beetroot, I buy mine in Tinnies Pies, right opposite your dentist. I can`t remember the price but for sure it`s more than 140 baht. I will be checking that shop out, I never knew it was there.

Very good! I had a very good dentist job done last year at central festival in Pattaya. Cheap and fast and very good quality job. I am a dentist myself. I really recommend doing dental treatment in Thailand.

Yep lots more choices for dentists in Pattaya than Jomtien…wen I’m there I usually go to 1 on Pattaya Klang but there’s lots to choose from…1000bt for a clean up..scale & polish. The L’ aroma cafe looks nice addition to Jomtien….someone has sunk a lot of baht into that place…looks nice. 🤔😉😎

Really liked your video; however, one thing that keeps intriguing me is, how do the local bars keep going all year round, surely they cannot make enough in 3 - 4 months to support themselves through the long drawn out low season 😳

You will find many of the bars in Jomtien have a regular clientèle who are resident here. Some of the smaller bars struggle in low season. I think the key as a bar owner is to look after your locals.
