Great video!!! I'm currently in the planning stages of my tiny house build. Already paid the security deposit to the builder. Now, comes the fun part of planning the layout. After seeing your video, I'm reconsidering the loft bedroom idea. I really like the idea of the extra headroom and the ability to "properly " make the bed each day. Thank you so much for the tour! Love your home!

Hi Kay, that’s great that you’re planning your own tiny house. My fridge is a Maytag. They don’t sell this model any longer unfortunately. If you plan to put a loft above your kitchen keep the height of your fridge in mind when deciding on the height of the loft. Good luck and I’d love to know how you make out!

I'm 5'5" & would sacrifice one of those storage steps to give the bedroom more ceiling height. What always fascinates me in tiny house videos is seeing how people choose their priorities. With limited space, do you jettison storage, most clothes, big windows, indoor plumbing, kitchen space, bathroom, fridge space, washer/dryer, TV, spare bed, or what?

I love your house and shed. Do you have plans on how you built your shed? Where did you find the tub, fridge, and stove? I looked on your builders website, no more lofts for your model. Oh well maybe a chandelier. Why didn't you build 10 ft wide and 41ft long? Are your pantries and cabinets custom built by the builder? Thank you

Very nice...your parking place means nice neighbors...when you relocate...think hard about having a reliable water supply...enough electricity...access to roads...good source of heat...safe way to dispose of sewage and gray water...often people don't plan enough for interstructure... the house is only half of the costs...land also might be expensive in Vancouver Your well designed place is wonderful and your TV persona charming

@@myBIGtinyhouselife I currently live in a 5 bedroom 4 bath home and am a professional. Your comments about your friends being concerned with your decision to go tiny resonates with me. I am not there yet but I am obsessed with this lifestyle and I know many of my friends will think this is a mistake. As soon as my youngest moves out on his own I am hoping to make this a reality. My biggest hurdle is where to park. I have a German Shepherd and this is also an obstacle. Like you, I know there are solutions and I am sure I can make it work. Thank you for your contributions.

Yes! You can use this time to do research on where to park. Talk to mobile home parks and year round RV parks if you have them in your area. Good luck!

I love your home, it's beautiful. I am in the process of building mine. I actually bought a container home, it worked better for me, it's 40' long and I can have a first floor bedroom. I am putting it in a new tiny home community in Tennessee. It's going to take a couple of months to be built and I can't wait. I love the interior colors of your house. I am having a hard time deciding between painting the walls white or leaving the wood. I love them both. I love your couch who is the manufacturer?. I hope you still love tiny house living. I just found your videos and I am watching them all. And of course the star of the show, the cat. Best of luck

I am currently in the design stage for my floor plan right now and I was wondering about adding "the closet area" at the end of the kitchen which would be about 10 feet away from the front door in an attempt to allow as much as an open concept as possible. I plan on having a wet shoe area by the door though. My question is do you think that it would still be practical in relation to the functionality of the space itself, and if not what are the specific cons in doing so in your opinion? Thank you and no matter what people say the tub is still functional I used to have one in my 5th wheel and there are days when you need to soak!
@myBIGtinyhouselife3 жыл бұрын
Hi. For me, it seems so much more practical to have the closet near the door so that you can drop everything into the closet as soon as you walk in. It’s my belief that if you make it easy and convenient then things stay tidy which is important in a small space.
