There is a meme going around on FB with a clever idea -- wrap some black tape around certain parts of your cable when you're plugged in at a campsite that has electricity, to make the cord look as if it has been repaired. It deters thieves, who won't usually bother to steal what they will assume is a tattered and damaged cord.

Welcome to Colorado! I hope you make it over to the Western Slope and see the Colorado National Monument and the hot springs. I moved to Colorado from the Midwest over 25 years ago. Here are some things I learned: Colorado is dry, so make sure you stay hydrated, and keep extra water on hand. Protect yourself from the sun, it can be deceiving. Because of the higher elevation it can beat down on you without you realizing it. Wide brimmed hat! As for the weather, we’ll all I can say is: It’s Colorado, just wait 5 minutes for it to change. 😂 Hope you enjoy your time here! Love watching your videos.

I cannot get drunk though as well at sea level. That being said, if you have some drinks here, be careful, it will hit! 😂 Enjoy all the great sites, and if visiting Denver, lots of great festivals and fun coming up soon! For the summer you might want to get some electrolyte suckers or powder. They take up less space and are easy to carry on hikes and bike rides. I think there’s a gum option as well. Glad you’re enjoying CO. You may want to consider getting some wool hiking socks. They are breathable, wick moisture, help with temperature & sweating (even in warm temps), have antimicrobial properties, and they can help reduce the likelihood of blisters from rubbing. I enjoy the SmartWool brand (I only purchase when they have a sale) but REI, Dick’s, DSW, and maybe even Walmart all carry wool socks. As for your pants, getting some that are lightweight w/ moisture wicking properties might be helpful, too. No rush on any of this, though. The important thing is that you’re enjoying outdoors. The more you explore, the more you’ll intuitively get a sense of what additional accessories/supplies might aid your experience.

As a Nurse I want to tell you it would be good to invest in a Pulsox, the medical device you put on your finger to measure your blood oxygen and heart rate while you're trying to get adjusted to the altitude, you seem a little short of breath on this video, it would be safe to get one, they're only around 50 to $60 but it's well worth it, not to scare you but sometimes when people try to get used to altitude sickness they get walking pneumonia, I know it takes awhile to get acclimated to the atmosphere but but you just want to be sure as a matter of fact is good to have one anyway, it saved my life this time last year. I love the scenery you're showing us thank you so much for sharing, ohhh and your pulse ox reading should not be below 90, and as a healthy person that should actually be above 96.
