Nomi: You need to be concerned about your batteries freezing. Especially in the temperatures you are having back east, your batteries can freeze if they are not well insulated. Here’s a couple tips: 1. Do not park anywhere you have the battery compartment and the engine front pointed INTO the wind if at all possible. This is no different than living in the Midwest with a car in a blizzard. There are wind screens you can put on the front of your Thor to break excessive wind. If I can find one, I’ll post one for you later. 2. Remember that the cold will reduce the ability of your batteries to hold power, so don’t be afraid to run the engine so you keep your batteries as fully charged as possible. Charging actually warms up the battery. 3. Make darn sure your exhaust pipes for the engine and generator are not plugged with snow. Carbon monoxide is not a joke and can kill you. 4. You can use a scoop of inexpensive deodorizing kitty litter in your toilet to absorb your waste, it can eliminate the odors and stretch out your bag disposals. 5. Check with your dealer manufacturer to see if you need to run liquid heat of some type in the fuel of your engine and generator in the Extreme cold to keep your fuel lines from freezing Those liners get extremely expensive. And 6. I’m not happy with the lack of customer education you got with the purchase of your Thor. I’ve noticed there are a LOT of women living in Thor’s like yours and we run into them regularly at our local camping spots and parks. Many of them are having issues and got ZERO customer training/education. It’s frustrating for the price you paid for your rig, to get so little hands on training. We’ve helped several people at the campgrounds figure out how to their error codes and what to do. Might be a good time to come out to Southern California- yesterday 12/25 it was 84° and we BBQed our Christmas dinner outside next to the lake here at the campgrounds. Great advice. She should also be sure to keep a full tank of gas as to help with the freezing issues. She should also get a diaper genie to put her waste bags in. The kitty litter is great as well.

I’ve had to adapt to a lot of things, but would it be better for me to pity myself and ‘woe is me’ or do little things I enjoy everyday. Make my environment nice. Make something lovely. Go for a walk with my dogs. Watch something on television for the belly laughs! It’s about mindset love. I know it’s hard, but we can do this. I know I’ll be fine, it’s just a matter of time. Xxx

Just saw this video on youtube, via my youtube app on my tv. My first time watching. Just love your Christmas Lights and love watching your videos. Looks like you have learned a lot in those six months of travel. I would be at square one but luckily there appears to be a lot of resources to assist you. Have no doubt you will be a pro in no time. I admire anyone traveling cross country. I have a great recipe, if you have an oven, if you like Chicken N Dumplins without rolling dumplins and all the mess. It is a casseole and the dumplins form themselves on top but requires a 13x9 Baking dish. I saw you had a stove top but have only watched two of your videos so didn't know if you had an oven or not. Love your videos and enjoy hearing your ideas and about your interest. You also have very creative recipes! Best of luck to you and hope to hear from you soon!

I’m in Canada and it’s currently minus 30 Celsius. I’m 77 and do all my own snow clearing and look after my two German Shepherd Dogs. If I can do it I’m sure you’ll be able to make it through the winter. You’re strong and you’ll be fine!

I live near Lansing, MI and I plow snow. This was a very crazy storm. 50 mile an hour winds and 6 inches of snow made for extreme conditions. I’m impressed with how calm you are in the midst of the storm.

I'm with you hun....65 here as well. I have a 30ft pull along to go with my Ford F150. No more sticks and stick's for me. So glad I made the decision. But was a might chilly for 4 days here with over 20 mph sustainable winds and 35 to 55 mph gusts non stop it seemed. Now I have a cabinet leak in my bedroom clothes cabinet. Dumped 8 quarts out . Tomorrow is my only opening for a day on the ladder sealing my roof before 2 days of rain coming. Blessings to you. East Northern Michigan here.

I like the idea of a spreadsheet of all the campgrounds, etc., that you’ve been to, and how the cost relates to your budget!! I just happened to think of something: Is there a way you could look back over this year (2022), and tell us your “favorites” (restaurants, stealth spots, tourist spots, etc.). That would be a very interesting video!! A recap of 2022: Things you learned along the way that, maybe, changed your perspective on Van life, for the better, or things you have changed before going full time on the road, etc. I love watching your videos, and keep looking for the most recent one!! 😊❤

I live in the South and the outside temperature here was 1 degree Fahrenheit at 9:30 this morning and windy as well….it’s 6 degrees now. It’s quite unusual for the temperature here to be lower than it is in Michigan. Very unusual.
