I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and when you passed the freeway sign that said Woodman, Van Nuys, Sepulveda, I got homesick. It blows my mind that the sky is blue in LA now. When I lived there, the sky was always hazy. I guess maybe the cars have less emissions? Idk.

Hey Mateo, next time you pass through Barstow, there’s a geologically amazing place just north about 20 minutes called Rainbow Gap. Your van can do the drive, although it’s world class washboard getting out there, you can camp in there too. Curvy folded sedimentary formations and blue green soils. Very meta.❤

Check out a little town with "All" the amenities in Arizona called Casa Grande. I love staying at the Fiesta Grand resort. There is a native American reservation near. It's way warmer than Flagstaff, too. 🎉😉

I remember finding you randomly when you were just starting out. I’m so glad you are doing so well. I like learning about van life through your videos. I live in NE Washington. It struck me with all your fans that you could essentially meet more friends/followers and stay along the way at their place instead of parking lots? Have you ever thought of that? Or maybe that seems uncomfortable… and maybe it would feel strange being in random places with others? I don’t know what I might do in your position. I guess what I’m trying to say is you’re a nice person and there are other nice folk out there who would be happy to have you stay along your road trip up north at their place instead of camping in Walmart or cracker barrel parking lots. If you’re ever up as far north you’re more than welcome to camp on my property 😂 Is van life not about meeting others? It seems kind of lonely being out on the road. My thoughts!

Aye Mateo welcome Home...Nothing like the frigid Coast Of the Pacific..My Grandmother luved in Ventura County for a long time. She lived in Santa Paula outside Condor Mountain which was in her backyard. Love that area...I sure miss the Grocery Outlet we have Aldi's here in Arkansas which almost close but no Cigars to the Outlets. I definitely miss Roundtable Pizza tho 😔.
