I love going to Norfolk - specifically for the NorVa and for Handsome Biscuit! Norfolk has a ton of great places to eat - Grilled Cheese Bistro by NorVA, Bon Chon, etc. The area by the NorVa is great for restaurants!

As a Norfolk Native, and frequent visitor, I love my home town. Still, Norfolk is small, and a lot of the areas that he says are nice are really closely positioned. Ghent, Downtown, etc are all just a few minutes drive from each other. The rest of the city has challenges with crime, congestion, and a general overall rundown feel. There are pockets of nice places as he says, but I know a lot of people who left Norfolk to move to Chesapeake, Virgina Beach, and even outlying areas of Suffolk to get a nicer area.

I’m moving to Norfolk next week. Heard a lot of not so good things. But I was looking to buy a house in either Norfolk or Va beach. It seems like Va beach might be a better choice. you painted a very vivid picture. I’m excited. Thanks, great Vid. Hopefully somebody in the hierarchy will put some money in the city, for some pro sports teams. 😎

There is a lot of African Americans but there is some Cacasian people too! I don't go to norfolk that much but the schools are okay you know public schools are not the best sometimes!

I am born and raised in NYC but I lived in Hampton for almost a decade. Consolidate and Incorporate the following towns into one city: Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach and Suffolk. The Bible IS NOT and SHOULD NOT be a guide for creating city ordinances! The major sports team must take the area into consideration. Summer in VA is not pleasant so, no to MLB & MLS. The Scope needs an NBA team and kick the hockey team to the curb. Either create an expansion team or buy a team from another city. Suffolk needs to be the home of your new NFL team's stadium. As long as Dillard's is the anchor store....MacArthur Center is doomed! open the parking spaces in MacArthur to the public, turn a small section of Granby Street into a promenade and improve the walkability of Waterside and downtown Norfolk.
